This beautiful 4 Bedroom 2 Bath Vacation Home Sleeps 10 and is just steps away from the turquoise blue waters and white sugary sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. This Condo sits right on the beach, and complimentary Beach Service comes with the rental and provides you an umbrella and 2 beach chairs. The condo also comes with beach towels. The Balcony, living area, and master bedroom offer amazing Gulf views. The rear balcony and bedroom offer nice views of the Gulf as well. The sunsets are beautiful and a must see. the pool is heated for the fall and winter months. The Gulfarium is just 5 minutes away where you can enjoy dolphin shows and a wide variety of marine life. Ft Walton Beach offers a multitude of good restaurants and bars that will help make your stay that much more enjoyable.

Just OK

The place was fine for the price we paid. Cleanliness could be a whole lot better - but fine if you spend most your time outside at the beach like we do. Beds were comfortable which was nice! Second day into our stay the air conditioner quit working - owner was very responsive and called heating and air right away. We did see some unfavorable "guests" in the kitchen (I believe to be roaches) which we understand happens, but none the less - made us slightly uncomfortable. Overall the stay was nice, however not sure we would book this exact condo a second time.

Great value

I searched for affordable condo rentals for my brother's destination wedding for months. Several family members and I decided to all go in on a larger condo, as it was significantly cheaper than booking several hotel rooms. This was a great option and served us well. It is not the most handicap accessible condominium out there (I'm in a wheelchair), but I didn't figure many places beach-side would be. There were some minor issues, but all-in-all it was a great place, especially for the cost. The one thing that really kinda got to me was that there is an exterior door to the condo in the bunkbed room. When we had all left for a bit one day, that door was wide open when we had returned. None of us had realized it was an exterior door, nor do any of the kids admit to opening the door at all. Nothing was missing from the room, but it was a little unsettling. We locked the door and went on our merry way. Something to definitely keep in mind if you have small children that may be curious in the night. All the beds were new memory foam mattresses. The couch is comfortable, but definitely has some signs of wear. Everything was clean and ended up being perfect for our 4 day getaway.

Destin Vacation

The location of the property was awesome! It was located close to many restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach! Very easy area to get around. However, the cleanliness of the condo was not great. When we arrived, there was sand on the kitchen counters and the bathroom counters. There were eight of us staying in the condo with four bedrooms, and we didn’t even have enough towels for each one of us to have one. the floor was disgusting as we walked around our feet were turning black from all the dirt, and when we looked behind the couches, there were spills from previous guests that were still there and not cleaned up. There was a lack of pantry, staple items. We had to buy more paper towels and more toilet paper. The guest bathtub did not drain and the master shower looked to not have been cleaned for a while. The outside balcony was cluttered with chairs and pool floaties. However most of the floaties were flat and the chairs were broken. The property owners were very responsive when we reached out surrounding our towels and such but we were just a little disappointed with how the condo itself was as far as cleanliness went.

We live in Texas in the DFW area and love to travel to beaches and mountains on vacation. We enjoy snorkeling, walking on the beach, relaxing and spending time with our family and friends.

Why they chose this property

I grew up going to Nantucket Island every summer and wanted to recreate some of the same memories for my kids that I've enjoyed. While Texas beaches are closer to home, they don't offer the same beautiful emerald waters and white sandy beaches that the Florida panhandle has to offer. We looked at places in Navarre and Destin and both were beautiful areas but did not give us everything we wanted. Fort Walton Beach was the happy medium of being close to attractions (Destin), while offering less crowded beaches.

What makes this property unique

When we looked at this condo our family immediately fell in love with its tasteful decorations, beach themed decor and the fact we are right on the beach! We love the spaciousness that can comfortably house (2) families without everyone being on top of each other. The two large balcony areas were also a plus so we can sit out and enjoy our morning coffee or sip on a cocktail at night, all while watching the waves crash onto the beach.
