Crystal Delight

Steps to the Sand! Conveniently located in the Crystal Shores neighborhood, our home offers the best of what the Crystal Beach area of Destin has to offer. Our home is only a short walk away from the large Hutchinson public beach access (complimented by outdoor showers, public bathrooms, and a lifeguard station) and is close to the seasonally heated neighborhood swimming pool. Crystal Shores is a luxurious white picket fenced neighborhood located near the white sand beaches while still remaining close to the Destin Commons shopping mall, providing multiple entertainment and dining options you are sure to love.

The house has a large deck area, a comfortable front porch, a private master balcony, a quiet yard, and offers the following sleeping accommodations: On the Main floor (1) a queen bedroom and (2) an adjacent queen bedroom, separated by a full bathroom. Up the stairs you'll find (3) a bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed and (4) an oversized master suite with walk in closet, private balcony, indoor seating area, and a luxurious master bathroom with both a stand up shower and a separate jacuzzi tub. Further up the stairs there is a (5) loft sleeping area with a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed underneath.

*During the peak weeks of Summer we can only accept Saturday to Saturday rentals
** Guests must be age 25 or accompanied by a Parent or can be evicted by the HOA

Arrived to several cockroaches in the rooms, some dead some alive, cleanliness was not great but the home is in a great location for beach access, owner was responsive about our issues but still not pleasant with a 1 and 3 year old.

This is a beautiful home in an outstanding location. Sadly, it needs to be thoroughly cleaned. There were drip marks on some of the blinds, dirt streaks on some of rhe kitchen cabinets, dirty toss pillows and more. Even so, I'd probably stay there again.

The location of this property is its best feature. We enjoyed our stay and did not spend most of our time in the house. It was functional, yet left much to be desired. The dish washer did not work and smelled terrible if we opened it. The couches cave in at the center so we preferred to use the dining chairs instead. The windows need to be replaced and were difficult to see through - as well as AC cooling at the top loft was minimal, likely due to this. The host was responsive when we asked about check in. However, did not reply when we reported the dishwasher a few days before departure. This house served its purpose for our group but leaves much room for improvements.

Great family vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Delight!! The loved sitting on the porch watching the world go by. The kitchen was amazingly stocked and there were plenty of toys to take to the beach. We loved the short walk to the beach. The house could use some updates and a good cleaning.

Great location, clean and quite neighborhood. Everything worked at the property. Everyone had a great time there. The house could use a little tlc, but it did not effect our experience there. We would definitely stay there again.

Large Home with Walk to Beach Convenience

This is hard to beat for the combination of rental size and walk to the beach location. Traffic in Destin is a big issue so this central location for all needs and activities east and west helped for all our needs. A problem with the new HVAC system was resolved in a timely manner. The quiet street in an otherwise busy resort town is much appreciated.

Destin stay

This is the second time we stay at this property, this year the house seemed not as clean. Walls, doors etc. wife dropped phone in couch and food and crumbs all in the cracks. Living room furniture needs updated.

It was perfect for us and our two sons and their families. Fit the 10 of us perfectly.

Everything was exactly as expected. The neighborhood and easy access to the beach 👍🏽. The last guests before us left no propane for the grill. We definitely hooked up the next guests for their cook out. In all.... would stay there again for sure! Thanks.

Spring Break 2024

Lovely place, well stocked. Loved the rocking chairs on the porch. Great proximity to the beach. Used some of the pantry items, left some as well. Would have given more stars for cleanliness, not that it wasn’t clean, linens and towels were fine and it was clean. Just needs a little more work. A little more TLC. Would not hesitate to rent it again.

The house was just as listed! LOVED the quaint neighborhood and easy pool and beach access. The property owner was so kind and responsive to anything we were curious about/questions we had. My favorite was all the seating in the kitchen/open concept living room as it was easy for us to share meals, play board games, etc! We definitely recommend this home/property! Thanks David SO MUCH!!!! We had THE BEST time!

In need of TLC

As all previous reviews I agree it is a great location and owner responsive. Also many people mentioned in need of a deep cleaning. It definitely needs cleaned! The walls and doors, like the pantry door, grossly dirty. The deck splintered and nails sticking up. Lots of homes with this great location so I’d recommend looking for one with better reviews on cleanliness.

Would stay here again

House was a perfect size for our family (us with our adult kids & small grandchildren). Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of extras to use for the beach (chairs and toys). We loved the location.... close to the pool, safe area, clean & quaint neighborhood. Owner is great to respond quickly to any messages, needs, concerns. Very helpful. The only complaints we had were the beach area was very crowded as it is a public beach area, and the house is in much need of A DEEP clean!! Could use some updates too, beds were not very comfy (several of us have had backs and it was a little rough for that), but nothing we couldn't overlook. Overall, we would stay here again. Easy walk to the beach, and we had 3 kids under age one!

Deep Cleaning Needed

This was our 12th year staying in and around Crystal Beach. We love Crystal Shores neighborhood! The location can’t be beat! This property was definitely not as advertised! This home is in dire need of a deep cleaning!! The carpets need replaced and have a musty smell. There is MOLD visible outside the master shower! This needs addressed! Shelves are broken, doors need repainted and are chipping and the light by the laundry room works when it feels like it. We had to purchase some pans during our stay because the ones they claim they provide are rusted and shouldn’t be used. I could go on…this home needs updating in all areas and the mold addressed! I have never felt the need to write a review before this!

Crystal Delight was perfect!!!

Crystal Delight was the perfect home for our Destin vacation. We had a family of six ranging from 7 months to 80 years old and we all loved it! It was very spacious! One teen loved having the third floor to herself. The other teen enjoyed sleeping on the bunk bed. The master bedroom was amazing!!! So much room and space. And the 80 year old enjoyed staying on the main floor as to not have to navigate steps. It was perfect and still room for more. It was a very short walking distance to the beach. In fact, at other beaches I would say the walking distance from Crystal Delight to the beach would be similar from the parking lots to the shore. There were lots of beach toys, buckets for building sand castles, rakes, shovels, beach chairs, a beach ball, a wagon to pull it in and so much more. We can’t wait to book our next vacation at the same home and have already shared with extended family who also look forward to staying there for their next Destin vacation.

This place is truly AMAZING! We have stayed here twice now (for a week each time). The house is very clean, decorated well, very spacious very nice appliances, truly a great place to call home on your vacation. They have just about everything you could ever want for a beach house. Stuff like a lot of beach chairs, beach umbrellas, floaties, beach toys for the kids, its own outdoor shower, massive porch to sit out on and enjoy the palm trees and the amazing breeze off the ocean! On top of all of that its just a short walk to the beach and almost right across the street from the community pool! Host was great, and very responsive to our couple of questions. If you are looking for a great place to stay with your family, this is the one!

The house was perfect! We were so close to the beach, maybe a five minute walk, which made it great for our teens and older kids who could come and go as they please. The house was clean and functional. Best thing was the outdoor shower. Love Destin and can’t wait to go back!
