My daughter hurt her hand while working in CA so I had to make an unexpected trip to the area while she was in the hospital. It was a stressful time. Luckily, I was able to find this place! Sarah and Aaron made us feel so welcome. We had great conversations in the kitchen about our families and hometowns. The house was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. We were able to do some sightseeing because this home is in a great location. We hope to visit again in the future and would love to stay again.
Wonderful Host and House
I rarely ever write reviews but Sarah and her beautiful home so deserve it. Sarah went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and all needs were met even though everything was fabulous from the beginning. Her home was comfortable and in a great location. Thank you Sarah for a great experience. Will definitely be back.
Part 1...Need the perfect SF getaway? Look no further ...
The good things I have to say about this property, Sara and Aaron are limitless...
My nine year old and I stayed here for or getaway over Presidents Week and we had an awesome experience. From the time we booked until we left NOTHING but spectacular. Sara called me to confirm dates and when I asked about changing things she was beyond accommodating and willing to work with me. During this same call I asked about a pool and while she didn’t have one she checked inline and got me information to a local public pool. When we considered extending our stay, the same willingness to work with us. We drove and partway there our car started being fickle. This pushed our arrival back. I called Sara and let her know what was happening and she was incredibly sweet and kind. Once we arrived Sara was there to help us with our bags and wait for us to find someplace to park. Once we were parked Sara went over all the ins and outs of the property. She was very patient and spoke to my daughter like she would anyone else. My daughter instantly liked her and wanted to make sure she had time to talk to Sara every day of our trip. Our room had everything we could’ve needed. The kitchen and bathroom are shared and Sara made an enormous effort to make sure whatever we may have needed was available to us. One of the beautiful days we were there we walked down to the Exploratorium and Pier 39. Sara asked if we had sunscreen...we didn’t...she then offered a variety of bottles to us to use. She had any number of toiletries, robes, towels and slippers available for us to use while we were there. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a vast array of foods and beverages for us.
The property is PERFECTLY located. Walking distance to SOOOO many places. If you don’t want to walk, no worries super convenient public transportation. We walked down to Fisherman’s Wharf, took a Street Car and then the cable cars up to Ghirardelli Square...we walked around and then took a taxi back to the house...
Because my car was being fickle we parked in a parking garage for two days...She has a parking lot literally steps from her front door...she made me aware of all of my options...there is also metered parking all around her. she pointed out where we could park and reminded us to look at the street cleaning signs. I have so much more to say about her, Aaron and the amazing time we had...TBC in Part 2
We stayed at this property for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is great and a lot of sights are within a 20 minutes walk. Sara is a super nice and caring host! Would definitely would stay there again! :)
Absolutely the BEST
Staying with Sarah and her boyfriend was a delightful experience. They are exceptional hosts and made their home so very comfortable to work remotely in the morning. Thanks for opening your house up Sarah
I really appreciate getting to know my guests and hearing about their lives. I enjoy hearing about your exploring adventures, what you do for work or what you did at the conference, etc. I love giving recommendations and discussing options for what you could do. However, I also am happy to give you space and privacy. In which case, I'll simply ask if there's anything you need and how you're doing. I do my best to gauge my guest's desired level of interaction but I also welcome direct communication. As in, feel free to tell me you would like more privacy/space or more interaction. I treat everyone - regardless of their race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age - with respect, kindness and compassion, and without judgment or bias. This is an LGBTQIA friendly household.

Why Owner chose Chinatown
While new to this site, I have hosted hundreds of guests at my home since 2017 with a 4.9 star overall rating and have received many happy reviews. Here's an example: “I'm not sure that it's possible to write a positive enough review for my experience at Sara's - but I'll try. The house is fantastic, clean, well equipped and with fantastic internal decor - and interesting water saving devices. The location is excellent, hidden away between North Beach and Chinatown, and perfectly located for any exploration of San Francisco. There are more restaurants, bars and general interesting sites within walking distance than anyone could possibly cover in one trip. However neither of these things are important - the reason that I can't say enough good things about this experience is Sara herself, and the environment she engenders. Sara is one of the loveliest, friendliest and all around most positive people I've ever met. She is a font of local knowledge, tips and interesting information, but is also quite willing to chat about most things, and genuinely wants to ensure you have the best possible stay in San Francisco, and experience the city in the best way you can. I'm sure I could say more, but if I haven't convinced you to stay here yet then it's your loss. I'm sure there are other places to stay in San Francisco where you can enjoy the city, but I am convinced this is the best.” - Douglas (who rented a room for 6 nights October 2018)
