A modern, fully equipped two bedroom waterfront apartment occupying the top floor of our villa. Private entrance, parking for small/medium size cars, huge veranda with spectacular sea and mountain views. Perfect for al fresco dining and relaxing to the sound of the waves of the sea. Enjoy wonderful sea views from each room. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and is suitable for couples and for families with children 6 years or older. The property is accessed through an external staircase at the back of the villa, where secure parking is also located. It has a modern kitchen, large closets, a 40 inch tv, and air conditioning in each bedroom. The sea at the front of the house has rocks, but you can swim at one of two small beaches about 100 meters from the apartment and there are plenty of other beaches only a few minutes drive away. The property is located at the edge of the village and is only a 5 minute walk to Petalidi square. There you will find restaurants, tavernas, 2 super markets, bakeries, a pharmacy, a post office, two ATM machines, and a fish market with fresh fish sold directly by local fishermen.
The apartment is perfectly located for sightseeing in our region. It is only 20 minutes (16 km) from Kalamata airport and half an hour's drive to Kalamata's bustling city life (25 km). Koroni (25 km) is also half an hour away, Pylos (35 km) is a 40 minute drive, while Methoni and Finikounda are 45 minutes away. Petalidi is also ideally located to visit several important archaeological sites. The archeological site of Ancient Messini is a 45 minute drive, Nestor's Palace is a 50 minuters drive, while Ancient Olympia, Mystras Archaeological site and the Archaeological site of Mycanae are all about 1.5 hours away.
If you you prefer nature Polylimnio waterfalls is a short 15 minutes drive from the apartment, while Voidokilia Beach (one of the most beautiful in Greece) is a 45 minute drive. There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy locally, especially during the summer months. You can go swimming, diving, fishing, boating and enjoy other water sports like kayaking. Rent a bike, go hill walking (trekking), horse back riding (5 minutes from Petalidi) or even play golf (50 minutes away at Costa Navarino golf course). As for night time entertainment, you can choose from beach bars and tavernas, or you could attend a local village festival ("paniyiri" in Greek) which takes place during the summer months. If you enjoy classical music or jazz you can attend one of the concerts offered by the Koroni Music Festival, which runs from May to October, and if you like modern ballet then you should not miss the Kalamata International Ballet Festival which takes place each July.
Your hosts live on the ground floor and are glad to provide you with any assistance or information that you may need. However, since you have a separate entrance to the apartment you will always enjoy privacy.
