We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property and look forward to returning. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time, to include the thoughtful gesture of a gift basket full of yummy goodies and a bottle of wine. Truly an amazing experience!
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. It's a perfect spot for a family with a fun deep water dock and slip for your boat. It has a ton of outdoor spaces to enjoy and everything you could want for a home away from home. Norma was a great host and very responsive.
This house was great for our family getaway (with 3 kids, ages 5-9). The kids jumped right off the dock into the lake and we were not worried about boats or jet skis flying by since we had a private cove.
We had a wonderful experience from booking to checkout...the property is clean, spacious and beautiful! Norma answered every question quickly and was so kind and helpful. The views are amazing of the Lake..the privacy is serene and relaxing. Cannot wait to stay again!! Just a lovely vacation!!
House was clean and beautiful. Looked just like pictures. Well appointed kitchen, lots of outdoor space. It was a quiet and low key spot. Enjoyed our first visit to Lake Anna immensely. Thank you for sharing your home!
Six of us, including my 90year old father, thoroughly enjoyed this house. There are stairs but he was willing to to take them for BBQs on the lower patio. The house and porches are as cozy as they look. Great spot on the lake. Great seating for conversations. Comfortable beds. Will recommend this house to others and likely return.
This house was very clean and had all the items needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items needed to cook. The linens were provided as was shampoo etc. We had a great time using the canoe and spent a lot of time in the water. We also spent many late afternoons and evenings playing games, reading or just relaxing on the huge upper porch. This house is a gem and we will definitely stay here again.
Overall the property was beautiful. Just a couple of issues...ice maker not working, back doors didn't lock, significant amount of dead bugs on back porches and cob webs when we arrived which is why I gave cleanliness a 4 star rating. Also, we wanted to double check everything and could not reenter the house. The code had changed before 10:00 a.m. departure time.
This is just a lovely house. There is lots of outdoor space to relax in, with comfy furniture, ceiling fans and beautiful plants, including a lovely flowering tree that the hummingbirds visit every day. There's lots of lawn available for frisbee or other games. Inside is very thoughtfully decorated and looks very recently remodeled, with plants and art, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need for full dinners and entertaining, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms, and comfortable beds. Also strong a/c and water pressure. Really just great.
This was an absolute gem of a property. You walk out the door onto the dock and the lake. We were there in Mid May and although the water was still chilly, I was able to swim each day right off the dock. The house was absolutely beautiful in side and the 4 bedrooms were well set up to offer privacy in each room. There was everything you could need - bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies, towels, linens, kayak, canoe . The landscaping around the home was so beautiful! The little Cove restaurant less than a half mile away was good as was the other restaurant recommendations from the host. The host was so responsive to every email and question and provided a unique , pleasant stay!
We would highly recommend this house. The two large covered decks are the highlight. If the weather is right, you can spend hours out there. We also liked that they had all the equipment for going out on the lake (boat and paddles, life vests, noodles, etc.). There’s also a big backyard for kids to play in. The house itself was very spacious and the kitchen had very modern amenities for anyone who prefers to eat in by cooking. The furnishings were very contemporary (i.e., breakable) so it might not be the best house for families with real little kids. WiFi was also spotty when it rained (which also means no TV) and there is very weak over-the-air cell coverage, so just be aware if you plan on working from there. People with kids may want to download some movies for when it rains (or bring DVDs). But other than that, this is a great house to rent if you want lake access and room to spread out.
Overall the property was very nice with a great view of the lake. There is way to much furniture outside which made the space seem cluttered. We had the ability to dock a pontoon boat at the dock included with the property. The main concern I had was that there there were mutiple wasp nests on the property and on the physical building. We were able to get wasp spray and knock do a couple of the nests. With an infant and a very small child in tow, we were very concerned about the safety of them getting stung. Also the property was superficially clean...there were webs, dead flies and dust on the furniture in the master bedroom. Also there seem to be electrical issue...the master had flickering overhead lights that was not the result of a bulb issue. With all of this we had a nice time and the property is pretty. The owner just needs to step up the small things on the property.
This property is a great vacation getaway! The description and photos accurately describe the house and it’s amenities.
The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The home was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The provided linens and towels were appreciated too!
The owners were quick to respond. We hope to rent this house again in the future!
This is our second time staying at Plentiful Views and it has become the foundation for some wonderful family memories. Such a relaxing atmosphere and property...location is fantastic and space galore! If I could say one thing as a matter of personal preference of style, it would be that there is too much furniture. A few subtle take aways would just give a little more peace to the space...but nothing detracts from it being a 5 star experience!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and will return...again
Lovely lakefront home on sheltered cove. Great kitchen for cooking plus attractive grilling area. We brought two kayaks with us (one on property), and really enjoyed lake. Also rented a Pontoon boat from nice folks at Shipwreck. Lots of nearby wineries, breweries and distilleries for touring/tastings.
Wonderful property with pretty views of a quiet portion of the lake. Nice and close to a marina with a good restaurant and not too far from ‘Moo Thru’ the kids favorite place for ice cream. The owners were very helpful and gracious hosts.
