Great place, only thing that wasn’t ideal is the trundle bed in a smaller room; however, you just have to be willing to put up the bed anytime you aren’t using it to comfortable get in and out of the room!

Wonderful home for week at the beach! This house has one of the best stocked kitchens I’ve ever seen in a rental. The house is beautiful and comfortable, and is in a great location. The property management is communicative and friendly! Excellent stay!

Long weekend relaxation

We stayed a long weekend with family and the pup. Had all amenities, fenced backyard for the dog, easy walk to the beach across the scenic walkway, comfy beds, and overall nice place. Would definitely recommend.

Oak Island house

We were totally satisfied with this house in Oak Island. We brought our pets and the fenced in back yard was very nice for them. We would stay at this house again. Very clean and nice home.

5 stars definitely. Wonderfully decorated and clean. Family friendly . I loved especially the location of the walkway on 20th down the street to the beach. I felt very safe in the area as well as beautiful views. Also great customer support from better beach rentals from Charlene. She was able to extend our stay for an extra night since there was availability for an extra night before the next guests got there. Wonderful all around . Personally my first time using a Vrbo rental and will be doing it again on our next stay in oak island. Big thank you to our host for allowing us to stay at your home, and god bless.

Could have been better

Everything was clean and house was perfect for us with fenced in yard. Our beagle was able to run. The only things that went wrong was the refrigerator never got cold, sinks backed up in master and secondary baths, terrible smell In master closet. Towels where very scratchy

Hi Tamara, I am so happy to hear your Beagle had fun running around in the backyard! As for the other issues- did you ever call our office to let us know about the refrigerator, sinks and the master closet smell? If you didn't get a chance to, I will be more than happy to put in work orders for Maintenance to get those issues taken care of. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! We hope to see you again soon!

There are a few minor complaints but overall it's a very nice home with a clean and lovely area where we would stay again. The small complaints are the following: The kitchen window (storm door) doesn't latch so it falls down. The dish washers top rack keeps falling off track. The patio area TV remote doesn't work (humidity? or needs the batteries replaced?). The clothes washer is too tight in the space so you can't open the detergent drawer all the way. The top drawer base in the front guest bedroom is broken. It appears that none of the beds or coach have had a sweeper run under them in quite a while. The coach and recliner in the living room are kindof gross; they are stained and the cushions don't stay on it and really could be replaced at this time. The neighbor across the street from the property apparently hates dogs and is pretty grumpy. Most rental properties provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, paper products etc for the duration of the stay but this one only gives you 1 paper towel roll and toilet paper per bathroom. You have to make each bed when you arrive. There's no outdoor shower or spigot in the front of the property or on the beaches so you have to track in sand. I had to unclog the sweeper to use it which was gross and there's no broom to go with the dust pans. The back yard is inundated with fire ants and mosquitos so we couldn't use that space. You have a driveway but everywhere else for beach access you have to pay for parking.

Terrible Stay

The property wasn't cleaned before we arrived. The front door was standing wide open when we got there. The kitchen chairs were broken. We went to the hardware store and purchased supplies to fix them. The back patio was nasty with leaves all over it. The floors had not been swept in any of the rooms. There was hair and lint under the beds and stuck to the dining room tables. Couch in living room was worn out. Better Beach Rentals is horrible. No communication about front door being left open. I left this house 100% better than I found it.

Nice place a bit far from the beach

This is a nice place. Clean and the backyard is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the kitchen utensils were cheap. This always makes cooking difficult when your fighting with the can opener or the pots and pans. Otherwise its a great place.

Perfect getaway

2 Looney Dunes was the perfect getaway home for my husband, myself and our dog. Quiet neighborhood, nice fenced in back yard for our dog and lovely screened in patio to enjoy the outdoors. The homes interior was tastefully decorated and clean. Definitely would stay here again.

Family+Beach+Dogs=Bliss

Great property, clean, and in a nice neighborhood. Loved the privacy of the fenced in yard. The nearest walkway to the beach was washed out, and added a 1/2 mile walk- but it all worked out. Definitely recommend the property to other families.

Lovely Home-very comfortable.

Had a great time, the house was clean and had plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the backyard as the young children could play outside without someone being with them every minute. Close to the beach and other attractions. Really a lovely place.
