Great location and set up for a company retreat. Spacious and great kitchen/dinning for hosting large group. Beautiful surrounds. Very comfortable. Would stay here again.
Beautiful view! The house was lovely and very spacious. Hosts were very responsive with questions. All around great experience! Would for sure stay again!!
We came from out of town with friends to attend a wedding at Wallowa Lake Lodge. This log house was perfect for all of us to stay at. We loved the view of the lake each day and it was a fun place for us to hang out and socialize!
Appliances need repair. Difficult parking and overall the house needs a good cleaning, lots of dust
Good location on the lake with great views. Overpriced for the housein its condition

Copper Lodge 2025
We had a wonderful time at the lodge. Breathtaking views, from everywhere. But the lodge could definitely use somemaintenance. Multiple deck boards were loose (not safe),broken glass below the deck, oven not working, and generally the lodge could use some serious TLC. I just think this Copper Lodge deserves better.
The house is a good fit for our annual family ThanksMas weekend.
Lots of space in the main area for all 12 of us and to eat, play games and relax by the fire.
The views are great and Joseph is just a short drive away.
Some parts of the house could use a bit of TLC, but overall another great time!
Loved the facilities. Stairs everywhere and a little difficult for all us old guys but we will definitely come back again. (Memorable event this morning: watching bald eagles fishing)

This property is a log paradise. Situated on the shore of Wallowa Lake in northeastern Oregon, it boasts 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The house is, simply, stunning in its design and scale. The kitchen is fully stocked with just about every sort of pot and pan, and lots of spices and herbs (left by previous guests?). The site on the waterfront provides access to a pristine, crystal clear glacial lake. There's a long deck on the lake side of the house, with large ponderosa pines, which just adds to the ambience. The house is close to Joseph and its art community, and not far (15-20 minutes) from the Wallowa Mountain Tramway at the southern end of the lake. It's also no too far from other area communities - Enterprise, Lostine, Wallowa - that have various things to offer. Unfortunately, we arrived a day after the marina at the state park closed, so we didn't have access to rental boats. I was there with three college friends who I've known for 55 years, and we just had a blast (not literally; the house is still standing). If you've got a large group of family or friends, I heartily recommend this property for your vacation.

Stayed for the view
The house had many issues. There were numerous items not working. There was a leak in the ceiling dripping into the bedroom. The stove did not work properly. The kitchen had hardly any items to cook with. The shower handles were broken and could not figure out how to turn on. The space was good but the house needs some desperate attention. Will not return.
We rented this house for a friendsgiving getaway and it was just right! A big, comfortable house right on the lake. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house is in need of some basic repairs, but overall was in in good shape. There was a massive kitchen and great gathering room. The host had wood ready for us for the fireplace. The beds could use an update or a mattress topper. We would book again in a heartbeat!
We rented the cabin for the holiday weekend. It was perfect for us. Well stoked with everything you need, clean, roomy and location and view are amazing! Will book again.
Got there towards the end of October. This place was huge. Texted owner and had no problem dropping off a load of fire wood which came in handy for some chilly nights. Great spot for entertaining and would recommend and would love to stay there again!
Property is dated inside but was clean and perfect gathering space for our reunion. Especially appreciated the large kitchen, working fireplace and fantastic deck space overlooking the lake. Grateful to have a home like this to gather in. Many thanks!
This is our second year staying at this beautiful home. Love the new couches this year, so nice to sit and hang out by the huge fireplace. Plenty of firewood to split for the fire, too!
Might be time to replace the frying pans I think they've served plenty of guests. There were five lights that were burnt out on the light banks, or there is a hidden switch somewhere that we couldn't find. If you ever decide to add another light, it would be a great addition above the dining table.
Our family loves this home and we can't wait to come back next year for our ThanksMas weekend.
We had a wonderful weekend stay with close friends and family! We enjoyed the view and spent the majority of our time on the deck visiting, playing games and eating food. We have 2 recommendations, new knives for the kitchen and a second garbage can out back. We will definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you!
The deck and dock are the selling point of this property. Wish there had been some directions in the house regarding tv operation and labeling of light switches. We had a lovely stay, hope to come back next year.
