Views are good….not much else is
When you first approach the door in the dark you wonder if this is a barn. After fumbling with the outdated door lock for 20 minutes you enter the foyer, which is presented as the opening to the bowls of an ancient whaling boat. Soon you step down into the dark 4 corner hallway with off camber steps and low headroom. You wonder what that smell is, maybe it’s a recent use of the toilet. Soon you realize it is just the toilet. As you find your way into the basement you can taste the damp mold spores in the air. You wonder if the dehumidifier is off, there is no dehumidifier. The floor is cold, there is no heat. You crawl into your damp bed with a mattress blown out in the 70s questioning your life decisions, and seeing if the best western has room. It doesn’t. You are sealed in your fate. The wifi is good.

This is Gods Country
Our stay was absolutely perfect. The sound of Hogs Branch river, the view of Cannon Mountain, the deep woods the Tuple cabin is nestled in, and no sight or sound of any neighbors. It’s the perfect vacation anyone who appreciates the good old outdoors. If the cabin is available in 2 years, we will definitely rent it again, and maybe even longer next time. Thanks for everything. VERY rustic
The location was lovely, views off the back deck are fabulous. The cabin has plumbing and electrical issues that need to be addressed though. We had 8 people sharing the space and the rustic “quirks” really got to us by the end. The fridge would literally shock us, as did the toaster oven. The washer wouldn’t spin cycle and we had to dry our clothes 3 times. The upstairs shower poured watered down the stairs…. We just left towels there the whole time since we were hiking and therefore showering a lot. The downstairs tub kept getting backed up, and the downstairs bathroom wreaked of urine when we checked in. It was also unrealistic to not have somewhere to put trash for a whole week for 8 adults. We were scared of the bear warnings in the area and would literally bring in our barrels of trash every night it was rediculous. If there was only 2-4 maybe it would have been more comfortable……

Great cabin; awful property management
Loved the rustic cabin. BUT— shower leaks onto the home’s central staircase; burners on stovetop do not work; washing machine broken and not functional; tap water smells and tastes like it comes from the property’s septic system. Vacasa manages the property and they entirely ignored my messages to them (via their “24/7” response system) and phone call attempts. Very disappointing as a result and not worth the money.

Quirky cabin with lots of charm
The layout and design is quirky and charming with lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore. The location is great if you are looking for a cozy place to unwind after the adventures of the day. The kitchen was tight and good use some better lighting, but worked fine for our group of 8. The downstairs bedrooms are cozy but it’s basement level, so we found it a bit musty and in need of airing out. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.
