About this property

4 bedroom, newly remodeled, 1940's home in the heart of Central City, IL. Original floors, windows, built in's, sliding doors and trim.
The space
Each Bedroom can be bolted from the inside for added comfort.

Infection control: As a Registered Nurse I take this seriously.
The home is cleaned by me prior to arrival using DuTerra On Gaurd germ fighting cleaner. All hand soaps are made with the Du Terra On Gaurd added to the soap for added sanitation.

Over the top

We love staying here. We have a family reunion and this house is roomy to have family visit with us while we are in town. Front porch is a super place to sit in the morning and evening talking and taking pictures We will rent this house every time I would recommend it for small to large groups

It was a lovely home. Very comfortable beds and soft sheets. Loved our stay! Thanks for the coffee!

Disappointing

Bacon, Eggs, and Pancakes were NOT provided as promised in the listing. Dishwasher was full when we arrived /had to put away dishes to use it. Bathroom had a visibly dirty towel folded for use. Home only has 2 forks! No kid friendly dishes. None of the expected useful kitchen items were provided (foil, plastic wrap, ziplock bags) and pans are in terrible condition. We were planning to cook at the house, but ended up being forced to eat out. Owner leaves a long list of chores for you to complete. I stayed a long weekend (Friday-Monday) for a Sunday morning triathlon at Carlyle Lake. I did not hear from the owner at all until I received a 3AM text Sunday responding to my request to use the Kayak on Saturday. This is always unacceptable, but as I was planning to get up at 5 and could not go back to sleep, I was not at my best for my race. Overall this was very disappointing and I would not stay here again.

Great place!

This was a great place for a family to stay if you're looking for a comfortable house in the area. Check in and communication with the host were both easy. Highly recommended!
