Luxury Lakefront Pocono Retreat, Lake Ariel near Lake Wallenpaupack
Beautiful lakefront chalet-style vacation home with spectacular views, fireplace and indoor personal jacuzzi within a community with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool; it is located in the Wallenpaupack Lake area in beautiful Lake Ariel, PA which is about 2 hours from New York City. Unlike other lake fronts which place you up hills and long walking distances to the lake, we are Right On the lake....you will wake up and look out your windows to a beautiful close-up view of the lake. The door is literally steps to the dock and not down steep hills either! Unlike being on the 'big' lake (Wallenpaupack) which allows powerboats and jet skis, our lake is a non-power boating lake which means No waking up to noisy boat motors and the ZZZZ of jet skis!!
Renter Requirements: Renters must be 30 years of age or older and we will require photocopies of drivers licenses to ensure compliance with this rule. Families with children are the only exceptions to this rule. There is NO smoking in the house. NO CATS are allowed, EVER.
Community: For summer renters, there are two outdoor pools....There is a nice lodge at the nearby pool which offers games for kids & teens. There are tennis / pickle ball courts at this pool area which must be reserved in advance at the main office. There is also an indoor pool which is about 5 minutes drive and there is schedule of times that it is open. All community amenities require badges which we will provide to renters. Fishing: there is ample opportunity to do so and the fishing is great in all three lakes (Lake Wallenpaupack is the BIG lake, and the two smaller lakes in our community are called Deer Lake & Beaver Lake, which are both NON-power-boating lakes). If you wish to fish, you MUST get fishing licenses to do so (adults). It is a simple process and it is very inexpensive, but it could cost a lot of money if you fail to have one and get caught fishing without it! Please contact owner for website where you can purchase your fishing license. Children may only fish with a licensed adult present

House was great beautiful location. We enjoyed all the emenities at the house and the various offerings of the complex. I would recommend it to anyone it was an awesome experience.
It was a beautiful house, and the location was ideal. The deck over looked the lake which was calm and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. A great place to unwind !
Terrific home with plenty of space to spread out! Excellent location—the beach is just a 5-minute walk away. Travel to the "big lake" wasn't too far—25 to 30 minutes. All the amenities were as advertised. Communications with owners were timely and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.
Met up with some old friends over the New Years holiday and spent a few days at the house - had a wonderful time. This house is specious, many great amenities, and is perfectly situated on the lake. Loved the sunrises. Obviously we couldn’t take advantage of the lake but we really enjoyed the fire-pit - and the fireplace too. Oh yeh, and the hot tub - - superb! The house was very clean and kitchen is well stocked with pretty much everything we needed. We’ll definitely need to come back during the summer months.
We absolutely loved our stay at Beaver lake. The home was clean and cozy. It had a variety of things to do both inside and outside. It was also conveniently located close to food stores , other lakes and the community pool. We had a great balance of adult fun and family oriented time with our 1 year old son.
Our stay was a great friendcation. My husband and I stayed here before in the winter, but we wanted to have a nice summer vaction, so we invited our friends and my brother, and we were able to bring our 9 year old pup with, she had a wonderful time.
Everything about the property was as advertised & then some. We had a group of seven "young" adult ladies whom I have known since grammar school that all turned 60 this year & we wanted a great place to celebrate - well this fit the bill!! It was a beautiful home with all the amenities you could want & the location was fantastic.
Would definitely return for another stay!!
This is our 3rd time staying in this home. Clean, quiet, and easy to locate. This house is updated & has what you need to have a great vacation on the lake. Paddle boat, life jackets, canoe, beautiful fire pit, hot tub, pool table, and many extras. Nicely equipped kitchen & great table for a great card game or two. We will be back!
The house and neighborhood were really nice, very peaceful and quiet. The lake was the only part I would change. Too shallow off our dock so you had to swim at the beach which was a 3 min canoe ride or 5 min walk. A little too boring for my teens so we rented a boat on Lake Wallenpaupack one day which was easy and fun.
The house was modernized, very comfortable and I wouldn’t change a thing.
This house is beautiful! And it was so nice to see the lake each morning right from the kitchen while having our coffee and the dogs played on the deck. The hot tub was relaxing and we played pool and darts most nights. And Martin was always available if I had any questions.
My family really enjoyed staying here. It is a great location and very comfortable. The deck is large and very nice. Our dogs were able to be outside a lot because there were gates to keep them safe. Even though we had some rain, there is ping pong and pool plus a hot tub downstairs which gave options when weather was raining. There is a canoe, paddle boat and a surfer-like boat for water sports. We plan to go again next year.

Pictures didn’t do the house justice!
We spent the long MLK weekend at The Clarke’s Home and it was absolutely fantastic. The deck has a beautiful, sprawling view that we were so impressed with. The basement has an extra side room made especially for kids (which got a lot of use during our stay), and the upstairs bedroom has a little sitting area. The house has everything you could ever want or need and we cannot wait to plan a trip back. 100% absolutely recommend staying here!
This is a lovely, large house right on the water. Plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen. Our family of six enjoyed the gorgeous view, the peace and quiet, and the sounds of birds. We even saw a heron! The five-year-old had a wonderful first experience fishing. The only downside is that you can't swim in front of the house because the water is shallow and muddy. The nearby beach is nice, but you have to walk there with all your stuff (towels, chairs, etc.).
This is our third time staying at this wonderful home. We’ve spent a total of 9 weeks across all our stays and each stay is as amazing as the last. The owners are the easiest to communicate with and the home is clean and exactly as advertised. I can’t wait for next year!
Two grocery stores about 15-20 mins away, the best BBQ is only 3 miles away, Gresham’s Chop house is about 20-25 mins away and was delicious for dinner!
The home is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is room for everyone to spread out or be together. The grill on the deck is fantastic and does a great job!
We love the view, I just can’t get enough of it and the community is safe and easy to navigate. Can’t wait till next year.
Spent a short Labor Day weekend. Communication with hosts was great. House was great, many amenities, great location and right on the lake. Beautiful mornings/evenings and scenery. Owners leave kayaks, pedal boat and paddle board for guests use, which was awesome. Community pool was packed but kids found somewhere to swim. Plenty of space in the house for everyone to stretch out. Only 2 complaints- beds were uncomfortable (futons plus the beds in the bedrooms) and the bumpers on the pool table are pretty bad (those that actually play more than once or twice a year will notice this) which is understandable and prob due to other careless guests. Overall we loved it and would return.
