About this property
Beautiful, top floor, pet friendly, piste-side apartment with stunning views
Beautiful south facing penthouse apartment, located right next to the ski piste and the vast network of summer cycling and hiking trails.
Spacious apartment spread over two floors, with double height vaulted ceilings to the living areas and bedrooms and a mezzanine office/play area. The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a second bedroom and shower room are on the entry level. There’s a third bedroom and en-suite bathroom upstairs, along with two further stacking beds in the mezzanine area. The mezzanine area makes a great play area or office and is equipped with bean bags, a comfy window seat and a large desk. The large south facing balcony is equipped with a large teak table and chairs for al-fresco dining, along with large parasol and loungers, and offers simply unforgettable panoramic views over the Chablais valley, 1200m below, and the Swiss and French Alps beyond.
The apartment is equipped with large flat screen TV and UK satellite box with pause, record and playback. In addition, there is a CD / DVD player with around 140 DVD titles to suit all ages and tastes. Also available is a digital (DAB) radio and a Bluetooth link so you can stream your favourite tunes from your MP3 player. A second TV / DVD / CD player on the mezzanine level is ideal for keeping the kids entertained. Both wired and wireless (WiFi) internet connections are available. There's also a selection of books, board games (including Trivial Pursuit & Monopoly) playing cards and jigsaws.
The fully equipped kitchen has oven, four ring electric hob, refrigerator, small freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, blender and many items of cooking equipment. The apartment has its own domestic washer / dryer but you also have free use of the larger semi-professional equipment in the ground floor laundry room.
You also have the benefit of a private lockable garage with internal access to the lobby area. The communal ski-room is equipped with ski / snowboard racks and boot storage. There is no elevator up to the apartment.
Finally, we know how important pets are to their owners so we welcome house-trained and well-behaved pets at Champ d'Hermines. However, please do note that we must make an additional charge if the apartment requires extra cleaning as a result of pets.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Champ d'Hermines from the moment we saw it on a sunny day in March 2004. The penthouse, south-west facing apartment, in a small block of just six, situated on a quiet private road nearly 1500m high up in the Swiss Alps. We collected the keys in August that year and haven't regretted it for a moment. Since then we've spent many an evening on the balcony with a drink, looking down on the twinkling lights and the rest of the world in the valley below. Wonderful clean mountain air, sun, silence... could you ask for more? We've shared our home with many travellers over the years and the comments are always the same, 'beautiful apartment', 'stunning views', 'we don't want to leave', 'we will be back'!
What makes this property unique
Situated within 50m of the ski piste, within 200m of the cross country ski trail and smack in the middle of the extensive network of cycling and hiking trails it's hard to beat.
