We loved the hot tub and views
House has character. Comfortable and the property manager responded to a plumbing issue promptly. It’s a long 20 minute drive down a twisty turny road to reach the house, so not as close to Boone as we’d hoped. Kitchen could use more bowls and a good frying pan. Flat bed pillows need replacing. TV needed directions for use, as did the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice place but in need of some repairs.
There were 10 people total in our group. 6 adults and 4 kids age 9-12. We all were very comfortable and had plenty of room. House was as advertised, nice clean neighborhood. Gate person was very nice. The house was clean. Few issues: One there were some blown light bulbs not replaced and none in the house to replace them with. There is a lack of silverware, we had to wash or share forks at times. There were a couple spots of very loose railing on the second floor deck, you would not want to lean on those and in one spot the deck joist was not attached and it sagged and we put a deck chair there to avoid walking in that area. We sent pictures to the host and they responded and said they would get the deck fixed. None of these issues affected our stay and we had an enjoyable experience. I would stay there again.

Roomy cabin
The cabin was very nice and had all the comforts of home. Several in our family enjoyed the hot tub every day. Cell reception was spotty. You could hear but not see a stream and the view was disappointing.

Winter Stay Review
We've been taking winter vacations in the Boone area for almost a decade. This was by far our worst experience so far. Check in was easy with friendly staff at the gate. Once inside the subdivision the drive up to the cabin was easy in perfect weather. It does not say it in the description but you will absolutely need 4 wheel drive and possibly snow chains in the winter as we found out AFTER booking. The driveway to the cabin is steep and narrow. Only one car will fit at the top. The other family had to park on the steep driveway. Once in the cabin we found live and dead bugs in all but two of the bedrooms. The top bedroom was infested with lady bugs and stink bugs. After killing 30+ bugs and no end in sight I contacted the property manager immediately. She said there was nothing that could be done at the moment but she would send pest control out the next morning. Everyone had to sleep in the bottom floor bedroom because of the bugs. The next morning the housekeeper came to vacuum the dead bugs. No pest control came. We still dealt with the bugs for the next 4 days with no follow up from the property manager. The living room has an amazing view of the mountain. There were several broken or damaged items in the cabin. The banister leading downstairs was broken and detached from the wall. Toilet seat was cracked, bath tub was out of service, screen doors were ripped, dining room chair was broken and not usable. There were barely any glass cups. Not enough for 10 people unless you're going to drink your OJ from martini glasses. No Tupperware to keep any leftovers in. The WiFi was painfully slow. Could not run any streaming devices Chromecast, Fire stick. Our daughter could not use her laptop to do her school work. The cabin overall is severely out dated compared to other cabins in it's price range. It does have easy access to an amazing trail along a creek that leads to a great campsite with multiple fire pits and grills with firewood ready. Absolutely beautiful hiking trails. The hot tub was amazing as well, especially on the cold snowy nights. The distances listed to the various attractions are false. Appalachian ski mountain is not 7.1miles from the cabin. It's 17.1 miles. Everything is 30-45 minutes from the cabin up and down steep winding roads. In winter conditions add more time if you're even able to get out. Hawksnest snow tubing is 1 hour away. I could keep going but there's a character limit. This was our experience.
