Beautifully appointed and u don't need to bring a thing to enjoy this cozy home for 2 couples and a pup perfect! We had full range of every amenity especially the main fireplace!
The location is perfectly situated and in addition to cooking meals at home the restaurants are amazing in the charming towns of Cashiers and Highlands
We loved our stay! What a lovely property. The owner is VERY responsive to any questions or concerns. Responses were almost immediate. The property was clean, spacious and was very nicely decorated throughout. Top of the line appliances in the kitchen, very well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. for cooking and dining in. The screened in porch was a great place to sit with coffee, breakfast or a book. The location was great as well. It's right off the main road between Highlands and Cashiers: 5 minutes from Whiteside Mountain Trail,10 minutes to Highlands turning right out of the driveway and 15 minutes to Cashiers turning left out of the driveway. Ideal if you like to spend time in both areas. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
Anne Marie (the owner) was the quintessential perfect Southern hostess - she was so helpful with recommendations in the area, maps, and even supplied me with a few starter supplies (for which I was very thankful as I arrived after all the stores in the area had closed).
Great location - easy to get to either Highlands or Cashiers from her cabin. Would love to stay here again!
Annemarie's house is beautifully furnished and stocked for every possible household need. It's more like a well loved private home than a rental. The photos don't fully covey the amazing view and the location is superior. With the driveway on Hwy 64, there is day time traffic noise outside but not in the house and the trade off is the short 5 minute drive to Cashiers crossroads, less than 15 to Main St Highlands. Other houses can have similar mileage to town and take 20 minutes longer on winding secondary roads. Responsiveness from Annemarie also superior.
We loved the house. It was beautiful. Being able to use the fireplace was awesome. The view is priceless. Did not give it 5 stars for two reasons … the road traffic on 64 is annoying - you can’t hear it inside the house but when you are outside enjoying the view it’s not really calm and relaxing. The other item is the shower in the king room by the screened in porch. The water temperature fluctuated so much you literally had to move out of the flow to soap up and then wait for it to get warm again before rinsing. It went from warm to cold in a flash, and then you had to wait for it to get warm again. The other showers were fine.
Our stay at this beautiful home was one of our favorites. Annemarie was the perfect host and was so receptive to all of our questions from check in to check out.The view was outstanding and the home was cozy and comfortable. Beds were amazing and the kitchen had every convenience for cooking. We had fires in both fireplaces and what a treat to have one outside too. We will definitely be back! Thank you Annemarie for allowing us to use your home!
Loved our stay at this well appointed home. Wonderful views, large wood burning fireplace, comfortable beds and linens made for a lovely stay in the mountains.
Rain or shine, we had a wonderful time at this property! The house is very cozy, well stocked and you cannot beat the views. This is the perfect mountain escape!
It poured rain but the house was so comfortable, warm, and beautiful to stay in with a great view, that we didn’t mind. We sat in the living room by the beautiful fireplace and enjoyed the view from the picture window. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the beds were comfortable. Outstanding communication from the host.
The home is a wonderful blend of the old and the new. All the modern conveniences, but the host has maintained the character and charm. Antique furnishings blend well. Outstanding view and very responsive host.
Our family had a wonderful visit in this well-appointed home between Highlands and Cashiers. Our hostess was wonderful and quick to respond to all of our requests. Will look forward to staying here again!
Our family had a great stay at this house near Whiteside Mountain! It's location exactly between Cashiers and Highlands was ideal for exploring the gems of both areas, but it's access right off the main road limits walkability. The house in general is very private, and the bedrooms were super comfortable. The view from the living room is fantastic. Communication with the owner was proactive, responsive and comprehensive.
Property is well decorated and has everything you could need. Very comfortable accommodations for a group of 6 people. Equidistant between Highlands and Cashiers.
My husband and I came to stay with our senior dogs and absolutely loved this house. The location was great - close to both Cashiers and Highlands - and the view was gorgeous. The house was decorated beautifully and fully stocked of everything we needed. Annemarie was a great host and extremely fast in her responses if we had questions. We will absolutely book again!
The owner of the property was quick to accommodate us for this very last minute trip. The home is beautifully appointed and conveniently located between Cashiers and Highlands.
Beds were very comfortable and plenty of space for the two of us. Absolutely loved the stone fireplace in the kitchen area and the indoor/outdoor patio area. The reason for the four star rating for cleanliness was due to a litter box smell. It was quite strong, but this could be due to someone who had stayed in the home previously with a cat. Other than that, we found it to be very clean.
There is quite a bit of noise from highway 64 when trying to enjoy the beautiful scenery and view.
Overall, we felt a four star rating was in order and we look forward to staying in this home again in the future.
The property was beautiful, peaceful, quiet and was very well decorated and had all of the amenities you could need. There were beautiful views in all directions from the porches. It was close to hiking trails, an awesome golf course, and Cashiers, another must see town. It was the highlight of our summer!
