In the heart of the Périgord Noir, a stone's throw from Lascaux, in a small village crisscrossed by hiking trails, our property "Le Jardin d'Eden" is made up of 6 charming gîtes for 2 to 8 people (maximum capacity of 23 people) .
Le Four, La Bergerie and Le Fournil are located in a beautiful half-timbered stone house, divided into 3 apartments.
La Bergerie, the great favorite of our guests, occupies the lower left of this beautiful country house.
Completely renovated (the kitchen and the bathroom are new), it is a small cocoon, ideal for a couple looking for romance or for a family with a child.
The Sheepfold has a large living room with fully equipped kitchen, living room with insert fireplace, a completely redone bathroom and a beautiful triple bedroom (1 double bed 140cm and 1 single bed 90cm).
A big asset in summer thanks to its very thick stone walls (more than a meter wide), it retains a pleasant freshness making it easier to withstand hot weather (natural air conditioning ...)!
The Sheepfold has a private exterior with garden furniture, deckchairs, parasol and barbecue. Our guests enjoy relaxing on the deckchairs on its shaded and sunny terrace, facing south!
You have access to the heated swimming pool between 26 ° C and 29 ° C (from mid-April to the end of September, depending on the weather) and the landscaped park.
Ideally located for exploring the Dordogne, all the main sites are a few minutes from our lodgings (Vézère and Dordogne valley, Lascaux IV caves a few minutes, Montignac, Sarlat…).

Mystic village

Located in a side valley to the Vezère, the cottage is situated directly next to the very picturesque tiny Village of Valojoulx. The region does not require further recommendation... The cottage itself is built against the rock shelter flanking the village, as is typical for the region. We found it super-clean, equipped for all practical needs and very well prepared for our visit. The hosts are very attentive and helpful if questions arise. The place is great for a private, quiet time, and the limited window size that comes with age and type of building, is compensated for by the rustic charm of natural stone walls, authenticity and a very well-working fireplace. We loved our time here.

Delight in the Dordognes

I had a wonderful stay. The property is very comfortable and well-appointed. The location is excellent. Valojouix is a very small, quaint village, that is very friendly and well-located (nearby shopping such as Intermarche, pharmacy, etc.). There is good parking available. I did a lot of walking and it was a good place to start for that. I also was able to plan several day trips to see the prehistoric sites as well as a number of beautiful villages not that far away. You have many options and choices at your fingertips whether you want to go to a large city like Bordeaux or visit some of the smaller villages. The hosts were accessible very helpful (even helped with my IT problems). I will definitely come back if my plans include this part of France again.

Super séjour au calme au cœur du perigord

Jamais vous n’imagineriez qu’un tel village existe. Caché des routes, Valojoulx ne se découvre que lorsqu’on y arrive. Mais avec un vrai charme, un calme olympien toute la journée, une situation idéale proche des merveilles du Perigord noir, c’est parfait pour des vacances culturelles et reposantes. Magali et son breton de mari sont des hôtes accueillants et très accommodants. Ce qui est sûr, c’est qu’on reviendra!

Très bon séjour !

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable aux jardins d’eden, la propreté du logement était irréprochable, la localisation permet de faire beaucoup d’activités sans faire trop de kilomètres. Magalie, la propriétaire a été très accueillante et nous a été de bons conseils pour visiter la région ! Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu et y reviendrons avec plaisir !

Merveilleux!

Qu'il porte bien son nom, ce gîte! Un accueil des plus charmants, sympathique et drôle, un gîte au calme extrêmement bien équipé en tout point, beau jardin et belle piscine (et jacuzzi!). Nous avons passé une semaine très très agréable. La région est superbe et il faudrait des semaines pour tout visiter! Merci pour ces belles vacances!

Une valeur sûre !!!

C'est la sixième année cet été que nous séjournons au Jardin D’Éden, et ce n'est pas un hasard !!! L'accueil de Magalie et Manu est toujours excellent, l'ambiance sympathique, conviviale et familiale. Nous réservons tous les ans La Bergerie, qui allie l'authenticité de la vieille pierre au confort moderne et toutes ses commodités. Magalie et Manu ne restent jamais les deux pieds dans le même sabot : nous découvrons à chacun de nos séjours de nouveaux travaux qu'ils ont entrepris pour toujours améliorer leurs prestations. La piscine est très agréable, chauffée, très bien entretenue et sans vis-à-vis. Le parc clôturé permet de laisser les enfants s'amuser en toute liberté autour des jeux et aménagements sportifs : ils en sont ravis !!! On s'y sent tellement bien qu'il faut souvent se forcer à sortir pour partir visiter les très nombreux sites et activités à découvrir dans la région. L'hiver y est également très agréable : nous avons eu l'occasion de passer les fêtes de fin d'année dans La Bergerie, au coin de la très belle cheminée qui équipe le logement, et ce fut un enchantement !!! Bref, y aller une première fois, c'est la certitude de vouloir y séjourner de nouveau !!!

Un accueil exceptionnel dans un endroit splendide!

On as passé deux étés au Jardin d'Eden, et nous reviendrons l'année prochaine sans la moindre hesitation!! Accueil chaleureux, grand parc splendide autour les gîtes moderne et bien entretenus. Stationment securisé et piscine chauffé dans une petite vallon sympa et tranquille. Parfait pour les randonées et les champignons, pas loin de Lascaux et Les Eyzies. Mais surtout, les hôtes disponibles et attentif.

Ideal countryside retreat

Based in a cute little French village (Valojoulx), Le Jardin d'Eden was a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. We loved the garden, with plenty of activities like football and table tennis. The pool was a nice warm temperature, clean, well maintained and in a very peaceful setting, with lots of sun loungers. We stayed in Le Chalet - a gorgeous apartment with outside seating, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. This was our second stay at Jardin d'Eden and we would go back again!

COMME A LA MAISON

Nous avons déposé nos valises au Jardin D'Eden et plus particulièrement dans LA BERGERIE. Ce gite, parfaitement équipé, a répondu à tous nos besoin... - de calme : pensez à programmer votre réveil ! - de convivialité : autour de la piscine, avec nos voisins - de propreté et d'isolation : ce dernier point étant déterminant du à mes allergies liées à l'humidité. J'avoue avoir appréhendé du fait d’être entourée de 6000m2 de bois. Appréhension totalement oubliée dès la 1ère nuit - d'authenticité : le principal espace de vie nous fait nous sentir comme à la maison ! J'adresse un énorme merci aux propriétaires pour leur chaleureux accueil et pour avoir partagé avec nous leurs bonnes adresses. Nous programmons déjà de revenir l'année prochaine pour une plus longue période tant les activités sont nombreuses et le besoin de repos important. Amicalement,

VALOJOULX ou la douceur de vivre

VALOJOULX ou la douceur de vivre. Minuscule village ou le temps ne semble rythmé que par le son des cloches de l’église, celles-ci ont le bon goût de ne sonner qu’à midi et dix-neuf heures. « Le Jardin d’Eden » est l’endroit idéal pour se reposer après les passionnantes mais épuisantes ballades dans cette formidable vallée de l’Homme. La vallée de la VEZERE concentre nombre de châteaux, musées et sentiers de randonnée, MONTIGNAC et SARLAT sont tout près, alors en fin de journée un plouf régénérant dans la piscine. Tiens ! Les cloches sonnent, c’est l’heure de l’apéritif… Monsieur et Madame SANFOURCHE sont accueillants, de bons conseils et discrets, le gite très bien équipé et puis il y a le silence la nuit, à peine troublé par une chouette hulotte qui passe en voisine vérifier que tout va bien. Excellente prestation à tous les niveaux

La Bergerie possède 2 atouts majeurs : beaucoup de confort en conservant l'authenticité de la vieille pierre !!! Vous ne vous retrouvez dans une construction moderne, mais sans charme comme on en trouve beaucoup sur le marché, mais dans un cadre idyllique qui permet vraiment de se ressourcer et d'apprécier ce magnifique Périgord Noir !!! Le logement est très bien agencé , aussi bien en terme d'ameublement que d'équipement (notamment la cuisine moderne où il ne manque rien, et le coin salon et son canapé face à la cheminée). La literie est très confortable. Vous disposez d'un bel espace extérieur devant le logement permettant de déjeuner dehors à toute occasion, en disposant même de transat rien que pour vous. La piscine et ses alentours sont top, et bien sécurisés. Le parc est très apprécié par les enfants, entre les balançoires, toboggans et tables de ping-pong. Les propriétaires du gîte sont formidables, et toujours de bons conseils pour vous faire découvrir la région. Et ils travaillent sans cesse à l'amélioration de leurs prestations, pourtant déjà au top !!! Vous vous sentez vraiment bien chez eux. Et enfin, le Périgord Noir est tellement riche de lieux à découvrir ou d'activités que de nombreux séjours sont nécessaires pour tout apprécier : c'est ce que nous faisons maintenant depuis quelques années, et pour quelques années encore à venir toujours au Jardin D'Eden !!!

La Bergerie, Valojoulx

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans La Bergerie, un bel espace bien aménagé et propre, propice au repos dans un cadre verdoyant. Un coin salon avec sa cheminée pour les soirées fraîches et le jardin pour les repas extérieurs et le farniente. L accueil chaleureux réserve par Magali avec tous les bons conseils de visites et de restauration. L endroit est idéalement situé pour les visites de cette magnifique région. Nous y reviendrons sans aucun doute
