I have a small log cabin located in the rolling hills of northern Missouri. It’s a nice quiet place for a weekend getaway. Most days you can watch wildlife travel across the open area on the front lawn. The cabin has a loft with a queen bed and full bed. Access to the loft is by ladder type stairs. Not far from a couple small towns for groceries. Several lakes within 30 miles if fishing or kayaking is desired. A few walking trails on the property and lots of scenic gravel roads to just drive around and explore. I have added an extra space in the basement it’s basically set up as it’s very own apt with everything the upstairs has kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom so if 2 couples would like to get away together the extra space can also be rented for an extra cost. It’s been brought to my attention that some where this states not suitable for children (not sure why) children are welcome. That being said I do not have a playground area set up yet but there are plenty of outdoor activities for them such as nature walks and exploring.

Quiet and relaxing
Very quiet, remote area.. the cabin is absolutely adorable. We had everything we needed and our host was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything.
We absolutely loved our stay in Misty's cabin. It was a very
relaxing place to stay. We had everything we needed to cook with. Misty does a beautiful job of upkeeping the cabin and property. Thanks for the wonderful weekend vacation!
My husband, my sister and her husband were in the area for a wedding. The location was close to where the wedding was being held which was nice, but I really wish we had more time to spend there in the cabin. Our host was friendly, flexible and accommodating. The cabin was really comfortable and unique, situated amongst trees. There is a nice covered fire pit outside that we were able to spend some time at. Very good experience!
We spent one night at this charming cabin, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We watched deer grazing just a few yards from the house, and saw a multitude of birds while enjoying the wrap-around porch. It was such a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! Our host was an excellent communicator and check-in was a breeze. We hope to be back!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Hopefully you all will get to return again for a longer stay 😀
A sense of relaxation hit us the moment we pulled up to the cabin. It's beautifully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The decorations are quaint and homey. Misti had everything organized and provided for us so it honestly felt like a home away from home. She was communicative in every aspect. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!!! We'll definitely be back ❤️
Wonderful host, beautiful cabin, neat tub! I’m always looking for a place that has a cool shower or bathtub. Even a jetted tub would make me happy. I’ve got to say this is the first time I’ve been able to take a bath in a trough. I enjoyed looking around at the craftsmanship of the cabin and even the kitchen cabinets impressed me. The door handles are half of a mason jar lid! My husband and I went to this cabin alone and it was plenty of space for the two of us.
We were simply looking for a place to sleep because my daughter was in town for prom. Wow we got so much more! We got some amazing pictures of the happy couple. My younger daughter is 10 and loved it as well! The hiking trails from the cabin are great with many unexpected attractions. Make sure you look yourself over we found a couple of ticks trying to go home with us.
Beds were very comfortable. Youngest fell asleep on the couch and said it was better than her bed.
All in all a very charming and memory making night! Would definitely stay again!!

Thank you for visiting. I love hearing from others who love it as much as I!
With a short drive, we found this little cabin. As soon as we pulled in, I knew it was going to be awesome. You walk in and immediately smell the cedar (best smell ever) hit you right in the face. It was tucked away behind a row of trees and faced a huge field where we saw deer both in the morning, and at dusk. It’s very quiet.
The only two things that were kind of annoying (not really a big deal) was the shower/bathtub and the loft steps. You can’t take a shower without the curtain sticking to you. Still not a big deal. You can open the back park of the curtain and it helps a bit.
The listing did say the steps were steep. It wasn’t an issue for us, but if you have trouble walking steps, you might wanna sleep on the very comfortable couch. No exaggeration, it was one of the most comfortable couches I’ve ever sat on.
The owner was AMAZING and was just a text or phone call away. We never had to wait for a response. we will definitely be back.
This cabin is well cared for and sits privately behind the trees. It is surrounded by Queen Anne’s Lace and wildflowers in July. The stars are beautiful. The furniture inside was comfortable. We enjoyed the surrounding area which was quiet and scenic.
My spose has always loved the idea of owning a log cabin. Misti's cabin is 100%T logs, right down to the cabbithes, stairs, etc. Nery beatiful setting but close to several town within 30 minutes or less.
