The Palace: Luxury Living the whole family will enjoy! Indoor Swim Spa Hot Tub

Come enjoy Southwest Michigan's awesome beaches many within 12 minutes of a drive. The two main beaches are Silver Beach which is located in St.Joseph and South Beach which is located in South Haven, with many others surrounding the area. Our home is nestled in a quiet setting. Luxury 2 Bedroom a master suite, and (2nd is a open concept room) sleeps 3 with additional space for air mattresses. The East wing has 5 more bedrooms and sleeping areas, along with 3 more bathrooms. Enjoy your own private deck above the pool area. Very private property with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The rental also has a pool table, ping pong, along with basketball hoops. Laundry facilities on site. Pet's under 50 pounds welcome with additional security deposit. There are 2 separate living quarters. Our guests rent the West Wing described above. The East Wing is a totally separate entrance. We occasionally live in a mother in law suite in the Far East side of the property. We usually live on our boat during the summer weekends. We do come home to verify the proper amount of guests checking in, just to be sure it matches the paid amount.
Since the property is approximately 14,000 square feet, we supply cameras throughout the property, so you can monitor your rented areas from your own 36 inch TV. (Some squares are black where there use to be interior cameras.) This is so you always know where your friends and family are. Be sure to monitor your guests while they are swimming. No Lifeguard EVER on duty. VRBO does not allow cameras inside living space. Also, enjoy all your favorite sporting events on a number of different television sets up to 80 inches, even by the pool. New Fall of 2021 a indoor swim spa for year round use. Hang out in spa with partial kitchen in garage, all while looking outside thru glass garage door.

This is a beautiful home, however the host is very poor at communication, doesn’t answer phone calls or messages, and multiple things are not functioning. The door does not lock from the outside, rooms are hot even when the air is turned low, no internet or wi fi passwords when asked multiple times, whirlpool I’m bathroom does not work. Pros’s well stocked home, clean inside and out, and very comfortable for our party of 8.

My friends and I had a lovely stay! The house was great, and the pool and amenities were top-notch. Keith, the owner, was a little difficult to get in contact with, but his son was around the property and was able to help. Overall, we had an amazing weekend. I have recommended the property to a few friends as well!

The house was well stocked with all utensils, pots, and pans and spices. There wasn't a dining room table in the main part of the house which made it difficult for a family meals. The beds were comfortable but one bedroom had lots of dog hair on the bed. The pool and hot tub was very nice and refreshing.

Large property with pool

On the positive side the property is very spacious and has a great outdoor space with a patio and pool. The house is split into a two bedroom apartment with a large party room, separated by the garage from the main house with five more bedrooms. Read the fine print regarding extra charges for 6• people or you will not get the access code. Also whole place feels really cluttered with owners personal effects.

Extended family get away

Pool was great! Lots of space to spread out. Plenty of outdoor seating. Kids really enjoyed the pool table and video game machine. Plenty of kitchen gadgets and dishes to cook for and feed large group.

Excellent Getaway Location

We had a great time. The property was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The host was available when we needed assistance or had questions. It wasn't too far from St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area so we were able to pop in and out for some shoreline fun. I would definitely seek out this property again should I look at being in the area.

Great home to spend a family vacation. Lots of room. Plenty of onsite activities. Needs minor updates as far as equipment such as Grill hot tub but overall excellent space to spend with family.

Great Place to Stay in Colomo, MI

We all had a great time at this property, which was enormous. Two kitchens, which was incredible. Keith was very proactive in his communication with us and incredibly responsive with any questions we had. The property had everything we needed to feel like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Keith, for a great stay!

Lots of fun!

House was very clean, enough space for all of us. The pool was warm and swim spa was large and hot! It was a surprise to find out they were staying in the adjoining house. But worked out well when we needed help using the air compressor and other outdoor items. They also brought us a bottle of Good Boy Vodka! They were great hosts, thank you!

Fun time until Sunday and Monday morning

The place was good, we felt very uncomfortably with all the camera they were everywhere. the pool was very cold . The yard area needed some work,lights didn't work. There were no towels in the bathroom. At 11.20 on Sunday night we were all in bed the owners walked passed our bedroom doors woke us up ,with know warning they were coming home.

Good time

We had a really good time. We came from hot humid weather to enjoy St Joseph’s beaches and cooler temperatures while spending time with the family. The house is huge! We were able to have our own rooms and some to spare. Some complained about beds not being comfortable or a little broken down but mine was great. The house was SO clean which is really important to me. There were many supplies available to use, if anything was forgotten you can make due with what is there. We enjoyed the pool the most during our stay. The only questionable thing was the multitude of cameras. I understand why but it’s a bit off putting. I’d stay there again and would recommend others to check into it also.

Horrible Host

I have never given anyone a bad review, as I try to always find something positive. However, with these 'hosts' I'm finding it very difficult to find anything positive. Everything from our checkin procedure to the accusing and resentful message he sent me after we left, everything was just terrible!! As regards check in, I had to get in contact with the owner by text and phone call trying to get the code to enter. My daughter arrived first on her own and was terrified!! She felt that there was someone in the home, as she entered she said she could hear footsteps upstairs. Sooooo, be warned...THIS IS NOT A PROPERTY WHERE YOU HAVE THE ENTIRE HOME TO YOURSELF!!! I texted the host to let him know that my daughter felt very uncomfortable as she heard footsteps upstairs and he never responded. As we discovered when you come in, there are 2 seperate living and sleeping areas, connected downstairs by a garage. The one on the right was particularly disturbing. Upstairs I believe there were 4 bedrooms that we used, but in the hallway by the bedrooms is a divider screen. The owners were actually just on the other side of that screen. Really frightening and terrifying for a group of young professional women. Another issue that we had were their nasty and inappropriate notes left all over the place!! Obviously they've had renters in the past that may have caused some issues, but if it is as bad as his notes indicate, I'm not sure why they are still renting it out?? They shouldn't be!! He made it perfectly clear through his many many many many notes that they are on septic. He then accused us after we left of flushing wipes etc down the toilet, we did not. If anything, he needs to remember that he had a father's day party with young kids there AFTER WE LEFT!! Perhaps the accusation of flushing stuff other than human waste and toilet paper was a result of another party AKA YOUR Father's Day Party??? I did get an "apology" from him a couple of days later recanting his accusations, but that did nothing for me!! Oh and on the issue of the signs, he may need to go back to grade school for your constant misspelled words and poor grammar...ridiculous!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Due to a scheduling error on my part, I needed to change our original date to a different date. Keith was excellent about this. His communication before and during our stay was top-notch. The hot tub and pool are fun. The only thing which I would want to mention to anyone booking in the future is to try to be accurate about how many people are staying. Keith was okay with 17 people staying. Unfortunately, due to issues on our end, only 12 people ended up staying overnight. There is no possibility of a refund. Again, my fault. Also, the listing is not clear, in my opinion, about the fact that the original price includes only SIX PEOPLE. Any more than that, then it is is a certain per night, per person.

Beautiful property with nice amenities. I did not understand that the showers and most bedrooms are all upstairs. So if anyone in your group is disabled, they will not be able to shower. There is one bed on the lower level. The host was good to work with. If we stayed in this area again, we would rent. I recommend for family and friends gatherings.

Amazing house for a large group
