The each was perfect for the kids and us. Every year we rate our facation as to if we would come back ornot. We would come back in a heartbeat. The Dougherty Family: This is our second time using this awesome beach hosue on Bungalow Road and both times it has stood up our large family. For the two weeks we stayed hered, it's amazing to get away from everyhing else even though we are locals. It has an amazing beach side view, and very satisfying to sleep to ocean sounds.

References: The Young Family: Our first of hopefully many, summer holidays at 18 Rear Bungalow was all and more then we had hoped for. The weather was a far cry from the weather we have grown accustomed to in Belgium. To wake up every morning to the incredible water views is one we shall miss dearly. 'We have gone to many beach houses. The Outer Banks, Cape Cod, and RI. Our extended families included an 8 mth old, 3 year old, 5 and 6 year olds, along with two 14 year olds, 18 and 21 year olds along with 5 adults. Even though the weather was not perfect, the house was. It was everything we had hoped for and much, much more. We felt like we were at a relatives house, not a 'beach rental'. OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPENT ON THE BEACH

WE HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SPEND SOME QUALITY TIME IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING AND THIS TIME WE DID. THE HOME ON WINGAERSHEEK BEACH WAS THE PERFECT PLACE. WE FOUND THE BEACH HOME TO BE PERFECT FOR A LARGE FAMILY GATHERING AND ALSO FOR AS A QUIET RETREAT. THE HOUSE WAS MORE LIKE A HOME. FULL OF TREASURES COLLECTED AND DISPLAYED FOR ALL TO ENJOY. WE MORE THAN LOVED THE LARGE WRAP AROUND DECK, ALLOWING FOR A PERFECT VIEW OF THE BEACH AND THE WHOLE OF CAPE ANN BAY. YOU MUST TRY TO SPENT SOME TIME THERE. THIS BEACH HOUSE IS MY HAPPY PLACE!!!!!!!

This was our second visit to Marcia's Beach House -- we love it. My son and daughter-in-law, sister, niece, brother and sister-in-law all vacationed together at the Beach House this year. We visited in June - knowing that it was "pre summer" season - but the weather was great -- sunny days, not too warm and wonderful ocean breezes! It is so wonderful to be right on the beach - going to bed at night hearing the waves and if there is foggy weather you can enjoy the Annisquam lighthouse fog horn! So much to do and see in the Cape Ann area and it is wonderful to be able to have such a nice home to stay in while traveling! The Beach House was even better than I had imagined!!! It is wonderful to have the windows open with the ocean breezes!!! Having a full kitchen made it so nice to be able to cook a meal at the house. The outside decks are where I spent a lot of my time if I wasn't wondeirng on the beach looking for treasures like shells, driftwood or sand-dollars. Vacationing in a home is so much better than a hotel. All the comforts of home are right there!!! I brag about this Beach House to all my friends and would 100% recommend this home for vacation to anyone I know -- without ANY reservations! Thank you so much Marcia for sharing your wonderful Beach House -- I cannot wait to visit again!!!!!! Activities: [besides enjoying the beach] downtown Gloucester shopping, Thomas E Lannon Schooner, Ryan and Wood Distillery tour, Cape Pond Ice tour, Rockport shopping, Marshalls Farm Stand - great bakery items, produce and meats.... Family Celebration

My family wanted to have a memorable celebration for our parents 50th wedding anniversary and we found this house online. Only seeing the pictures and talking with the owner, we were not sure how it would be. We couldn't have been more pleased! There were 12 of us in all and we all fit very comfortably. The house is right on the beach with magnificant ocean views and a comfortable deck. Plenty of room for relaxing and family fun. The house was immaculate and comfortable at the same time. We all would recommend this rental for a peace filled time in the beauty of naturea with a wonderfully decorated home.

This is our 4th year at Wingaersheek Beach. We have traveled from Europe the first 3 and I am happy to say our 4th year we had a closer commute now living back in the USA. Our family has been blessed to visit many spectacular places in this beautiful world and when we gave our children the choice of, if we had one holiday a year where would they choose to be - it is always a unanimous answer Wingaersheek and Marcia's beautiful treasure by the sea. Wingaersheek is truly a special place. The home is beyond most rentals as everything you need and beyond is available. Usually whatever is the latest kitchen gadget - it is in the kitchen here. We truly feel right at home from the moment we arrive. We wanted a place our children can go from pj's to bathing suits, this home provides it. We wanted a place our children can swim safely, explore endless hours, this location provides it. We wanted a place that provided enough room for family and friends to visit and stay or visit for a few hours, and this home is perfect. In fact, our friends and family now include in their summer plans days to visit us. We wanted a place to have either no need to leave or be in close proximity to venture and explore and this location is perfect. Every year we visited - the first few days we look at real estate listings thinking of purchasing our own home by the sea however at the end of two weeks, we realize our two weeks here are perfect and why change it! Our family is looking forward to year 5, 6, and on! We highly recommend Wingaersheek and especially Marcia's home but only if you want the "perfect" holiday with many wonderful memories.

Our Favorite Vacation Spot!

Of all the spots we visit, this is our very favorite. Maybe that’s why me and my family keep coming back, year after year! We have been here every year for as long as I remember. We hate to leave, and we count down the time till we return. This place is a hidden jewel, the best choice in the area. My daughters just love “the beach house” begging to visit at the first sign of summer. They enjoy hanging out at the fireplace, collecting sea shells at the beach, and just hanging out with their friends. It works just as well for our teenager as it does for our toddler. The house is everything we hope for, and more. On nice days, we spend much of our time on the private side of beautiful Wingersheek beach, relaxing in the sun, and taking in the magnificent views. In the late afternoon, we have dinner on the grill, and sit on the large wraparound deck, watching the sunset, over the best beach in the area. From the great flat screen TVs, to the spacious bedrooms, to the wonderful fireplace, this house is a great place to entertain a crowd. The kitchen has granite countertops, luxury appliances, better than we have at home, and a large refrigerator, for all our barbeque supplies, and a stove for those days when we cook inside. The house always smells wonderful and the fresh linens make us feel like we are at home. The appliances, TV, Wifi, etc work as advertised. The woman who owns the house (Marcia) is overly accommodating, and always makes us feel welcome. She comes to welcome us when we arrive, and makes sure everything is as expected. She makes the whole rental experience so easy. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. As long as you don’t want it the same time as us!

Our three children grew up on Wingaersheek Beach and loved every minute. Now they are gown and living their own lives, so we decided to allow others to enjoy what we still do without the children full time. Ours is a home, cozy and comfortable, not a rental space. We love to enjoy the off season, in the spring, fall and winter. Allowing you to enjoy the prime time all summer long. As well as family celebrations and Holidays throughout the year.

Why they chose this property

We rented on Wingaersheek when our kids were small and just loved the commute from Boston, the one and half mile shallow beach with no undertow, wonderful city of Gloucester and all the city has to offer. The commute is still easy, the beach pristine and Gloucester having the same small town feel, including history, culture, sights, interesting shops and delicious cuisine.

We couldn't think of a more wonderful place to spend time with family, friends, celebration mile stones or just alone watching the sun set, looking at the stars or sitting by the fire on a cool evening.
