Walker's Place - Historic Home Two Blocks from Downtown Whitefish!

Walking distance from the heart of downtown Whitefish, Walker's Place is a charming bungalow complete with an outdoor patio. Walker's Place has recently been renovated and freshly furnished and comfortably accommodates groups of four to six who enjoy the Great Outdoors and are ready to experience the charms of downtown Whitefish.

This quaint bungalow can comfortably house between 4-6 guests in two bedrooms and a pullout queen sleeper sofa. The first-floor bedroom is tucked in just off the living room and houses a full bed. Upstairs you'll find the second bedroom which features a king bed and a small sitting area that is perfect for some solo lounging or private conversations for the upstairs guests. A full bath with a stand-up shower is located on the first floor.

Downstairs, the fully equipped kitchen and dining area can easily accommodate your group when dining in is on the menu. The eat-in kitchen houses full-sized appliances and a table for six for your cooking and dining convenience during your stay. Hang out in the living room and visit or watch TV or play some games at the kitchen table and connect with your people.

Walker's Place also provides space for gear storage in the enclosed front porch and the laundry area. You'll also find a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience. Out back you'll find a new deck, charcoal grill, and newly outfitted patio that's perfect for grilling, visiting, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Finally, Walker's Place offers a private parking spot in its own driveway!

Within walking distance from Walker's Place, you'll find plenty to do including Whitefish Lake Golf Course & Restaurant (2 courses), Glacier Nordic Center (12K groomed trails), Whitefish River, Whitefish City Beach, and iconic Downtown Whitefish. This was probably the most well-appointed vacation rental home in which I have ever stayed. They had everything one would need for cooking and enjoying the outdoors, even a nice cooler! Loved the close proximity to the river for to swimming too! Great value for whitefish too, I will be back for certain.

This house is in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk to town and free snow bus. Super easy to navigate to places you want to visit. The property was very well maintained with cute decorating. The surrounding neighborhood is nice with a lot of renovated properties. Would definitely stay again.

Whitefish Songwriter's Festival 2022

Clean, excellent location from downtown. Well stocked. Loved the outdoor patio area and gas fire pit. We would stay there again. Maybe next year. Our daughter and son in law(Honeyboy and Boots) were songwriters and participants in the festival.

Walker House Whitefish

The house is small, but neat and well maintained/furnished. The property manager was responsive. We had an issue with the access code that was remedied with one call. The location is great. Close to downtown and close to bike trails.

Nice tiny home. The only issues we had were the bedroom being upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, going to the restroom at night the stairs are a bit sketchy I would recommend leaving the stair lights on. Also the train on Wednesday night never stopped. But other then that the neighbors were very friendly we got to meet Memphis and Pepper Jack across the street! Very close to town you could walk there.

Absolutely Adorable!

We loved this cottage! It was the perfect get-away for me and my husband. The master bed, located upstairs, was super comfortable. We enjoyed binge-watching Netflix in bed every evening. Since we were so close to everything, we ate all of our meals out on the town. We ate at Loula's Cafe for breakfast every morning. For lunch and/or dinner, we enjoyed MacKenzie River Pizza Co., Tupelo Grille, Great Northern Bar and Grill, as well as the Central Avenue Bakery and Deli. We spent two amazing days hiking the trails at Glacier National Park. The Skyrun staff were incredibly friendly and super attentive to all of our needs. All-in-all, one of the best vacations we've ever had!

The place was perfect for our little family of my husband, myself and our daughter Tatum. Because she is only 16 months old we were worried about the staircase but she did very well! The first 2 nights we had her crib in the upstairs loft with the AC unit running - and unfortunately we had to move her and not use that ac unit as it kept making a screeching high pitched noise that would wake her and us up. I'd take a look at that unit as it seems broken. Otherwise everything was great. If the place is available again next year we will definitely stay again!

Nice facility, great town, bad cancellation policy, fees too high

The property was fine (love Whitefish) but a concern with the VRBO pricing and cancellation process (or does each property owner get to set their own policies?). There needs to be more transparency/full disclosure regarding the total cost while a person is browsing. The assorted fees and taxes added 40% to the overall cost of the stay and I didn't see that until I had moved to the booking stage, after I had entered my cc #. An hour later, I wanted to cancel but the penalty was 50%. Instead of losing $1,000, we kept the reservation. That's not good business and I won't book on VRBO under these policies.

Great Spot for Weekend Getaway

We love Whitefish and usually visit a couple of times a year. We were lucky to find this place at a great price for the holiday weekend and we were not disappointed. Great set up with lots of space for our family of 3. Well stocked with essentials for laundry and in the kitchen. We loved the variety of puzzles and games to keep us occupied in the evenings. And the best part is the location! Love being able to walk downtown! Will definitely stay again!
