Five large Bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms, 2 activity rooms with pull out beds accommodates a large gathering of family and friends. The large activity room above the attached garage includes pool table with ping-pong top option; a 12 foot shuffleboard game; 8 person card table; 2 large TVs; queen sleeper sofa; refrigerator and full bathroom. The large all season sunroom surrounded by the forest offers dining and comfort furniture. The great room offers soaring windows to see tree tops, stars and the moon; plus a gas fireplace and space to dance between seating area and bar. The kitchen and pantry is large and capable of handling the gathering while being part of it. The front porch rockers gets you within 20 feet of the feeding hummingbirds and butterflies. The home is on a cul-de-sac with amenities such as 7 TVs, sewer, public water, high speed internet, DISH satellite, buried electrical, and large concrete driveway/parking areas. Recently we expanded the front porch, added the Tesla EV charger, and the Tesla Power Wall to help keep the electric active during power outages.

What an amazing property! The house is beautiful with wonderful amenities. We had a lovely time in the play room on rainy afternoons, playing pool and ping pong, and enjoying the other games. The porches are absolutely lovely- we sat out at night watching the fireflies, and listening to country sounds. The location is excellent; you are two miles or so to a great grocery store, and 30 minutes to Highlands with all their great shops and restaurants. The house is well stocked and has an amazing kitchen, and lovely bedrooms. The owners are easy to work with and best of all, nice people. We all hated to leave, and can’t wait to go back. A beautiful part of North Carolina, we highly recommend !

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had the best family vacation in Sapphire Valley. The house was amazing for our group ranging from age 2 to 70! We had thunderstorms most afternoons so the game room, garage and screened in porch were a huge hit! One of the friendliest and most responsive host I've worked with. It was a wonderful family vacation!

Perfect modern home in the mountains

Immaculate, beautiful home located in great location. Gated community, walking distance to park, horseback riding, and less than 5 minute drive to grocery store and other shops. Well stocked kitchen, with everything you’d need. We enjoyed the screened patio & the fire pit when winding down at the end of the evenings. It was everything we expected and more! The hosts were hospitable, provided tips for us to maximize our stay, and we’re extremely responsive.

Beautiful house in a beautiful area close to so many things. We hiked, went horse back riding, relaxed and loved every minute of it all. House is very clean and peaceful. Has a fun game room, fire Pit outside in back yard. And a screened in patio with fire table. Super nice! And the kitchen Is beautiful, you will love cooking in it! Highly recommend

Perfect mountain home!

Our extended family spent 2 wonderful weeks in this amazing home. From the first inquiry through out the stay the owners were easy to work with and accommodating. Everything about this home is GREAT! The location is perfect in a gated country club neighborhood with access to amenities (golf, tennis, puttputt, lake, water activities). The home is large and spotless. The kitchen is a dream and so well equipped. Game room could keep all ages entertained . The beds were so comfortable. Lots of special indoor and outdoor spaces to be alone or together. We thank the owners for sharing their amazing home.

Abundant Property that Exceeded Expectation

Our family spent 4 weeks in this beautiful home/property which had ‘everything’ in spades…a thoughtful layout inside & out, perfect location, abundant amenities & lovely, informative hosts! The house is very close to a LOT of activities & good restaurants - super convenient. However, our favorite place was the front porch where we rocked, read, dined & played games while enjoying the beautiful landscaping and native trees. Such a comfortable home for all of us (we were aged 6 to 66). Floyd & Lori, thank you so much for sharing your home & providing local info that made our family’s summer the best ever. Truly, a blessing!

Luxury property with all the bells and whistles

From the photos in the listing, one can see this is truly a “luxury listing.” This home is new, spacious, well appointed and very comfortable for an extended family. Everything in the home is first class. We planned for nine people, and the house can easily accommodate that size group. Each bedroom has a private bath in addition to a full bath off the game room and a half bath on the first level. We particularly enjoyed gathering our whole group in front of the fireplace to watch football games. We also could have gathered around the gas fireplace table on the screened porch or the wood fire pit in the back yard. The game room is amazing. It has a pool table, ping pong, shuffleboard, card table, two flat screen TVs, fridge and microwave ( you could spend your whole vacation in there). This home has location, location, location. It is located in the Sapphire Valley Resort. Our kids loved the community center with the gym, miniature golf and lots of activities. The house is easily accessible from the main road and does not require a long winding drive up a mountain. The center of Cashiers, with a grocery store, coffee shop, farmers’ market, wine cellar and boutique shopping is about a ten minute drive away. The owners, Floyd and Lory, are very gracious and easy to work with. They have done a wonderful job designing, building and furnishing their home. We felt privileged to be welcome to stay there.

Amazing property and hosts

The home is very spacious and well designed. We were a group of 14 family members staying over Christmas and we had a great time. We had more than enough space to be together when we wanted to, yet have plenty of privacy when we needed downtime. Mr Harper (Floyd) and his wife are phenomenal hosts and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, answered any questions that came up and made sure we felt at home at all times. We will definitely be back.

Amazing!

We had the best time! This house is amazing - full of great supplies, lots of space, and the most amazing game room. Our family barely wanted to leave! The neighborhood has tons to do and cool places to explore, and the house is situated super close to cashiers / highlands and loads of hiking and waterfalls. Floyd was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions! Wonderful vacation!

Absolutely The BEST

We’ve stayed at numerous rentals in the Cashiers/Sapphire area and have had really good experiences, but this is hands down THE BEST place!!! Floyd & Lory are wonderful, caring host and their house is everything they say it is and more. If you have a large group or just want to be near the amenities of Sapphire Valley this is the place.

School Vacation Week December 2020/2021

We just enjoyed a great week on this beautiful property (party of 12 with 6 kids ranging in age from 7-12). The house was perfect as it offered something for everyone and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The entire house is very clean and well kept. The kitchen was spacious and the game room offered hours of entertainment for both the kids and adults. The location is perfect as we were able to spend time skiing and hiking during the day. The kids enjoyed the yard and some of the amenities on site. There are some great restaurants near by like Table 64 and the Library. Floyd was very helpful and welcoming from the start. We would definitely recommend and will likely be back. -Tao

We have many siblings, 3 children, and 7 grandchildren. The renting of vacation homes for large family gatherings has contributed to the design of our home. The convenience of in room bathrooms; mattresses approved by adult children who use them;. large well furnished kitchen in proximity to the great room; and large porches that interface with nature are features of note. However, the child play room and the adult activity room this grandpa is most pleased with.

Why they chose this property

As members of the Country Club of Sapphire Valley (https://www.ccsapphirevalley.org) we wanted a home that we could walk or take golf cart to the club. So we are inside the gates; just a 3 minute golf cart ride; or an 8 minute walk. This club offers National and Trial memberships that would make our home the perfect place to stay.

Also we are part of the Sapphire Valley Resort ( https://sapphirevalleyresort.com ) and walking distance (0.2 mile) to many of their amenities. From A to Z - Art Classes to Zip Lines - Sapphire Valley Resort has something for you! Sapphire Valley has a full complement of trips, classes, facilities and beauty sure to entertain the entire family.

Sapphire Valley restaurants are as varied as the terrain. From great pizza and wings to world class tapas, steaks, and seafood - the valley has it waiting for you.

We are easy drives from many southeastern cities. Many less than 3 hours. Those coming from further away may leverage the many interstates that feed into Western North Carolina!

What makes this property unique

The Sapphire Valley area is a natural habitat for the black bear. It is part of the migration path for hummingbirds and monarch butterflies which we support with planting and feeders. It offers beautiful fall foliage (https://smokymountains.com/fall-foliage-map/) and many hiking options within a 30 minute drive. It is unique to enjoy such nature and still have so many resort features within walking or a short drive distance. All while staying or returning to the comfort of a new and spacious home.
