I enjoyed my time at Studio Zen. The space is exactly what is shown online, and the host is the sweetest and very attentive. I would highly recommend this place & will book this when I return to Washington State.
Perfect if you need an excellent comfortable place to stay. Seems new extremely clean. Well equipped lovely garden and patio area to use. Small but suited me perfectly great location. Wonderful host. Great communication. So much nicer than a hotel room!!
Barbara was a great host. Property was very comfortable and clean. Listing was accurate description . Easy access to get around. Really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely recommend.
Studio Zen is a great value. Quiet, lush, beautiful backyard lock-off unit in a nice Kirkland neighborhood. The place itself is intimate in scale, but very cozy with modern style bathroom and shower area. The Owner is very nice and made the whole process easy. All in all, a great place to stay if you want a quiet, relaxing place to come home to after a fun day of exploration.
I had a great time here and I highly recommend it for people who want to get away and have a nice and quiet place to stay. 100 times better than the most expensive hotels I stay at in the past. But that is just me, some people like luxury. I like real. This is the real deal....
Our stay was perfectly comfortable. Barb was thoughtful about what we might need; she provided coffee & tea, a mini fridge, and checked in to ask whether we needed anything else. The space is very small, but that was fine as we were out and about all day and just needed a place to sleep. The unit is attached to the larger house but has plenty of privacy thanks to a separate entrance. It’s a short drive to downtown Kirkland. I would definitely stay again.
Simply put, everything was perfect. I will absolutely stay here again. My room and all of the amenities including the WiFi, TV, Streaming, warm/comfortable bed and heated floor were perfect. 🎯I look forward to my next visit.
Zen studio is wonderful and the location is minutes from the Kirkland DT and waterfront restaurants. The studio was perfect for me visiting family and friends and the owner Barbara is so accommodating with extras if needed. The bed is super comfortable and the ultra modern with fluffy towels bath and bath mats. Kuerig coffee maker and an electric kettle for tea etc. ample fridge space and an electric fire to cost up the studio. I loved my private space a retreat to get away from it all. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks Barbara for your hospitality.
I had a wonderful stay in this studio. The room is extremely comfortable, the air is fresh, and it offers nice privacy. Although it’s a studio, it has everything you need—there’s even a small table next to the refrigerator, perfect for working from home. The mattress is very comfortable, and the shower and bathroom are clean and beautiful.Barb is an amazing host. She respects your privacy yet checks in to make sure you have everything you need. The location is also great, with two or three hiking trails nearby. It’s only a 20- to 30-minute walk to the Google office, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and plenty of restaurants. I found it easy to get around without a car thanks to the sidewalks, and the neighborhood feels very safe. Overall, this is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a comfortable place in a nice, walkable area.
Nice quiet location and beautiful house. The host was very helpful and communicative with anything we needed. Loved the surroundings and the bathroom. Some feedback:
- The bedding and the coffee mugs provided had an odor though, which was a big damper.
- There is no AC and we could not control the heating from our room, so it got pretty hot one night.
- Would be good to add some basic utensils like plates and spoons and a microwave. There is a mini-refrigerator, which was very handy!
I loved my stay at Studio Zen. I stayed for 3 weeks while in town for work and it was such a beautiful atmosphere to come "home" to each night. The bed is comfortable; I slept great each night. The rain shower head is such a nice luxury. Newly installed AC kept the space nice and cool during some hot days. Outside the Studio door is a tranquil yard and patio with very comfortable seating. Barb was welcoming and so helpful with anything I needed. I'll definitely stay again if I don't move back to town first.
If I could give this little slice of heaven a 10 out of 5 I would! Really enjoyed relaxing on the patio. The owner of the home to which it's attached is simply lovely and very helpful and accommodating. When traveling solo, I don't need much. But this truly exceeded my expectations as it has everything I might want in a very compact space. I will be back (and maybe even invite my spouse!).
We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, exactly as described in the listing, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Check in/check out were seamless and communication with the host was easy and quick. We would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed a week and were very comfortable. The patio and backyard are a welcomed space to sit and relax. The host is responsive and clearly wants to make your stay enjoyable. We highly recommend the unit when staying in the Kirkland area.
I needed a place to wind down while close to my hospitalized family member. Barb was an amazing host. The beds and pillows were wonderful. Location to restaurants at the end of a busy day were plentiful! Will stay next time I visit!
Studio Zen was everything you read online and more! It was absolutely perfect for my stay. I appreciate the affordability and location. This is a quiet neighborhood and the studio is on the backside of the house, and looks out onto the amazing backyard! The host has done an amazing job at creating the perfect one night or more retreat! Parking is easy. Access is simple. It is a very safe area with many people out walking and enjoying the Seattle (at this time!) non-rain weather. I would put the opportunity to stay here over a 5 start hotel any day. Privacy. Comfort. Cute dog! Wonderful host.
I had come to Seattle from Hawaii Island for the Pink concert and I contracted COVID at the concert and was pretty sick. This space was such a lovely and spiritual place to heal and recuperate. The studio is extraordinary and so well appointed with lovely design details, layered thoughtfully throughout the space. My host, Barbara, was so kind and thoughtful, and upon hearing that I had contracted COVID she offered to help with getting supplies or medical support if needed. The space is thoughtfully designed for comfort and a sense of peace. I so enjoyed both my time here and the opportunity to get to know my host, Barbara, as I recovered. Finding a space that was healing and a host that was kind and caring was such a gift. A really lovely, unique space for a get away, or space to land if you have work to do.
