We booked this for our wedding. Darcy was so helpful and responsive. The weekend was absolutely amazing. The cabin was absolutely perfect for our intimate wedding we had with 40 of our closest people. It housed our wedding party and immediate family perfectly! She has an amazing wedding decor stock pile that was so helpful to fill any decor lacking spots we had. It was also amazing not to have to rent tables, chairs, or linens for our big day. We already have been talking about wanting to do our vow renewal here in the future that’s how good our stay was.

We rented this house for a sibling reunion. I am one of 7. It was perfect, everyone had a bed and there were plenty of bathrooms. There were lots of options for places to congregate and visit or play games. The location was convenient to Denver, the airport and lots of fun destinations nearby. Darcy was quick to respond to all our requests and the check out was one of the easiest ever. The only challenge is one that no one would have expected, there was no air conditioning and we were there during an exceptional hot time. If we do our reunion in Denver again we would be back.

This is a wonderfully unique property and offered lots of space for our family gathering. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items you could need including lots of cookware, spices, oils, and dishes. We were so grateful for the very generous supply of gallons of bottled water. The living space is wonderful for a large group. The basement level has a large room with a queen bed, trundle bed, sofa and behind that room is a bathroom and the “miners bedroom” which was ideal for some of our youngest family who like a dark sleeping room. The living room space was open with tons of seating and the dining space included outdoor tables as well as an indoor table that sat 8-10. Upstairs there was another smaller living room and a great bedroom and private bath. On the top floor is the spacious master suite and two additional queen bedrooms that share a bath. Overall this is a great property. We loved seeing the elk in the morning and evening. The only very slight caution is that this was a tiny but difficult for very elderly. We had a 90 and 85 year old and they could manage except for the steps in the bathroom to get into the shower or tub. For everyone else it was perfect. Darcy is a superb host and answers any questions promptly. Thank you for a fantastic place to host our family gathering!

We came to Golden for a wedding and needed a place large enough for 3 generations to stay- this place was perfect! Loved that there were enough spaces for people to get away for private moments if needed, but also large enough for gathering together. We loved our time together. Thanks for everything!

WOW! this place was great for our family. Plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms, well stocked kitchen. The views were amazing! We were visited by a herd of elk most mornings when having coffee on the deck. We had a wedding at The Pines, dinners at Charthouse, pizza at Guidos. Close to Highway, easy drive to Golden and Denver. super convenient. The home is full of historic antiques and cool artifacts. Darcy was great whenever I had questions. What a wonderful host. We had absolutely everything we needed. I forgot to mention that this place is absolutely magical at night, the entire property is filled with fairy lights and the star views from the balcony were beautiful, too!

A wonderful VRBO! Listed for venues and family gatherings. Our time here was for a family gathering. Our family, 13 of us here for family memorial service. Fit us all comfortably. Plenty of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and gathering spaces with everything you need. From towels to kitchen ware to bedding and seating. It was an emotional 3 days and staying at this incredible and historic VRBO gave us the peace we needed during this time. The owner was amazing to work with, instant replies always to any questions we may have had. All around 100%. If you're looking for charm and serenity and room to relax this is the place. The sprawling landscaping on acreage was so quiet, deer and elk were seen and birds greeted us each morning with our coffee. If you’re looking for a modern whirlwind kind of place, this isn’t it and I’m sure many will appreciate this is not “city” crazy place. We will be back for our next family gathering. Thank you!

Beautiful and relaxing

We had a great time with our family. The house is big and roomy and everyone had their own space. At night the area is lit up by solar lights and looks beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.
