This property is idea for a large group. We stayed for a family reunion and found Lost Trombone to be ideal. It’s a beautiful home and the check in/out was a very easy process. I highly recommend this property, there is something there for everybody, young and old!

Nice House

We enjoyed our stay. This is a nice house in a nice neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The beds were comfortable. The dining room table was huge. There was enough seating in the living areas for an army. We would stay there again.

Family visit for grandchild’s baptism

This was the perfect situation for us as a family. Comfortable very clean and with coffee (yay) and baby items useful for infants. Lovely neighborhood right by our Kansas City families in Olathe. Close to Prince of Peace church.

Great Family Place

Perfect place for families with wide range of ages to stay. Games and activities on site and nice backyard. Convenient to fun activities like the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead and easy to get to 1-35 for fun in the Crown Center and Union Station area. Great stay and wonderful host who was very available for any questions.

Wonderful place. Enough space to enjoy the family visit for the wedding. Few things like no batteries in the controls and lights flicker. No propane for the grill, but we bought charcoal. Would recommend

50 school reunion

Really enjoy the stay over the weekend! In town for a school reunion, and it was great to have someplace like this to stay rather than a hotel. It was clean and comfortable, and the owner was very easy to communicate with. I would recommend it!

We had 9 people with 6 beds + provisions for trundle, extra mattresses. Nice linens, easy check in/out. Air hockey a big hit. 1 of 2 arcade games worked. All provisions well stocked. Really quiet neighborhood and house. I recommend as good rental property

Olathe House

House was overall super clean. We did have a bit of a gross freezer when we showed up but the host was quick to fix. Spacious, nice home, well decorated. Super cute, quiet and safe neighborhood. Overall very positive experience and would come back.

We had a good time ! Game room a hit with grandkids . Great neighborhood. Good communication. We liked the house and rooms and beds. Loved the shower in the upstairs sharing bathroom it was amazing ! Enjoyed our stay . For next guest the recycling bin is the blue one but all cans have black lids lol

Exactly aspictured

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as pictured. The house was very clean. The house was located in a very quite neighborhood. There is a lot of shopping nearby. There was was enough rooms for each person to have their own. My granddaughter enjoyed playing the games in the game room. Because the weather was cold we were not able to enjoy the outdoor deck. I would definitely here again.

Great for a Family Gathering

We stayed here while in town for my grandma’s milestone birthday. We were five adults and two kids, ages 11 and 14, and there was plenty of space for all of us. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with everything you need within an easy drive. The one drawback to the house is how much stuff is in it. There are lots of knickknacks on all surfaces, pictures and signs on all the walls, and big, bulky furniture. It felt like we were living in someone’s personal space and not a vacation rental. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is super high, so if you have guests with mobility issues, it may not be a good fit for them. We appreciated the quick responses from the owner when we had questions before arrival. Check-in was easy and the house was clean. Overall it met our needs and was a good experience.

Definitely need to do some routine maintenance and respond to emails and text messages!

I have used VRBO properties many times as a gathering place for family trips. This one rated MUCH lower than most! No working front porch light made getting in after dark a struggle. No working overhead light in the Master bedroom meant using a phone flashlight to find all of our belongings when packing up. The shower in the Master did not drain well, which meant standing in water. Only 4 chairs and a very uncomfortable bench at the dining table meant that we could not all sit together. The bed in the Master bedroom was so tall you really needed a step stool to get into it (it is higher than my waist!). Good thing my husband and I practice yoga! Lots of supplies for babies and toys for kids, but no step stool, so the younger ones could reach the bathroom sink The MOST disappointing was the total lack of response from the owner to our numerous texts and emails! The blizzard on Dec. 25-26 meant that we had to delay our arrival by a day. We asked if we could extend our stay by a day. No response. We asked if we might receive a credit for the missed day. No response. I realize this was during the holidays, but not responding to ANY of our correspondence was very frustrating. Despite the location that was so close to my parent's home, we doubt we will use this property again.

Disappointed

We had several issues while staying. Something was wrong with the dryer and was venting inside the home. We had ants all over the kitchen counter and there weren't basic toiletries in each of the bathrooms.
