About this property
Pet Friendly Vacation Condo with Updated Appliances & KING BED, Overlooking pool
Welcome to Little Paradise Vacation Condo, a TRUE LUXURY SUITE!
In Sept. 2019 we purchased unit 210 in Casa Del Mila Oro Resort, and prior to us owning it, it has never been rented; the previous owners used it only as a weekend retreat.
Looking for more room? We also own townhouse #119 in the same complex, Casa Del Mila Oro Resort, VRBO #2548500 which sleeps 8.
Our motto… We Pride Ourselves on Executive Level Vacation Rental Experience!
Our condo is located away from the road, in the quiet East-side building, nestled beside the vineyard on the Anarchist Mountainside. It's on the second level so you won't hear any footsteps above you. Two sets of stairs are located on either side of the building, and since the condo is located in the middle, it is rare if anyone walks past the unit. (Sorry, we do not have an elevator at our resort).
We installed a brand new heat pump, May 2022... Excellent heat and AC!
ENTRY:
You'll be let inside by using the electronic door lock. As you enter, you’ll notice the 9' ceilings with lush cream carpets in the bedrooms, hard wood floor in the living room and tiles running down the length of the hall and into the bathroom and kitchen, all in great condition.
To your right is a shoe holder. Open a drawer, slip your shoes or purse inside and you won't trip over any shoes at the front door. Set your car keys in the basket on top. Behind the door you'll find a full-length mirror and 5 hook coat rack mounted on the wall. There’s a pair of binoculars hanging on a hook for you to borrow if needed.
PRIMARY BEDROOM:
A king size bed with plush headboard, a new mattress, linens, duvet and new floating night stands will welcome you. In the closet, there are two yoga mats in carry bags, large umbrella, shoe holder, iron, ironing board, extra pillows, 6 beach towels and 4 brown towels for guests with pets. You'll find a 50" smart tv, laundry hamper, large 3 drawer dresser and a large mirror. (Surprisingly, there is still lots of extra room to walk around the king bed!) On the nightstands you'll see USB ports and little reading lights, as well as lamps.
BATHROOM:
You'll find a curved shower curtain rod (which gives more room to shower) in the bathtub/shower with white towels: 12 bath towels, 12 hand towels and 12 face cloths (6 are grey for make-up removal) on the two shelves above the toilet. There's a handy wall-mounted magnifying beauty mirror and a small glass shelf holding makeup pads and Q-tips, while there's still plenty of space to hold delicate items like jewelry or perfumes. Our blow dryer, straightening iron and curling iron are stored under the sink as well as a mini fire extinguisher, the first aid kit, extra toothbrushes and a few toiletries if needed. You’ll find body wash, shampoo & conditioner in the tub.
We added a stand-up toilet paper holder for you to move to where it suits you.
You’ll find a 4-hook holder to hang robes or extra towels across from the stackable FULL-SIZE washer and dryer. There's hand soap & hand cream at the sink, with laundry soap, bleach, softener and Bounce sheets (& more!) under the sink for you to use.
LIVING ROOM:
We installed a 55" smart tv in the living room. You can watch shows on our Netflix or CRAVE account, or our premium sports channels through Sportsnet.
We installed a brand new couch in September 2023. You'll find a couch cover for pet parents (even parents with youngsters) to use to keep dog hair/dirt/sand from getting onto the couch. Kindly remove & add to towels for the cleaner prior to check-out. Located/labeled in plastic bin beside bar.
The electric fireplace is under the tv. Snowbirds will find this feature warm and cozy on those chilly winter evenings.
There's a table with a leaf which can be opened up into three larger configurations. You can either feed your little ones here, play a game of chess or cards, or leave a puzzle on-the-go. You'll find various board games, puzzles, a deck of cards, dice and even some crossword books in the bottom drawer under the kitchen bar or in the second bedroom. There are books for you to read if you so desire, or borrow our DVD and Blue-ray movies.
We have a bar with liquor glasses, beer glasses, shot glasses, random wine glasses, a cocktail shaker cup, wine aerator, electric wine opener, a beer/wine tub, straws and napkins. For my Caesar lover friends, we have rimmer, tobasco and Worcestershire sauce.
SECOND BEDROOM:
The brand-new double bunk beds (& mattresses), are rated for 300 pounds each. Each bunk has a shelf to hold a cell phone, book or glass of water. You'll find a 24" smart tv (top bunk) and 32" smart tv on a swivel (bottom bunk), as well as USB ports and reading lights for both bunk beds. We installed a cover over the skylight to keep the sun from overheating the room.
There is a large dresser with 3 drawers to house clothing and a 4-hook holder to hang clothing on behind the door. You'll find a large mirror in this room too. There is also a Dyson fan on the dresser to help with air circulation in the room.
KITCHEN:
The galley-style kitchen has granite counter tops and newer stainless-steel appliances. It's well equipped with everything you need for cooking (and even baking if the mood strikes you). We've got your everyday items plus a coffee maker, blender, toaster, electric can opener, rice cooker, Brita, tea pot, cutting boards, measuring spoons and cups, spatulas, bottle opener, steamer, colander, salad spinner, an array of pots, pans, baking utensils, serving dishes, whisks, an ice cream scoop, a garlic press, crock pot and even a waffle maker! We have a spice rack and various condiments.
Tupperware is there for you to use, sandwich bags, trash bags, tin foil, toothpicks, Kleenex, paper towel and napkins.
USE WHAT YOU NEED, LEAVE WHAT YOU DON'T is our house rule.
There is hand soap by the kitchen sink with various cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink such as sponges, dish soap and dishwasher detergent tablets.
You'll appreciate the quiet Bosch dishwasher.
All our appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, stove and convection microwave oven) have been replaced with new, updated, energy-efficient models.
BALCONY:
You'll love the west facing view from our patio, a lovely view of the inner courtyard overseeing the pool, hot tub and mountains straight ahead.
Imagine yourself relaxing on the patio with your feet propped up while reading a good book and enjoying a glass of your favorite wine, all while keeping an eye on the older kids below at the pool. Now, that's what we call a vacation!
We have a natural gas Weber BBQ with BBQ tools for you to use and enjoy while making memorable summertime meals for the family.
EAST BUILDING & PARKING:
The quietness of being located in the East building, furthest away from Lakeshore Drive Road is a big advantage. You'll love the view from the front doors, a picturesque view of the vineyard next door cozied up beside Anarchist Mountain.
There's a parking spot labeled #210 for you to use during your stay. During the busy summer months, visitor parking can be full, but there is extra parking on Lakeshore Drive at the entrance to the complex. Please note that there is no trailer or RV parking allowed on the resort property.

About the host
Hosted by Romana Van Lissum

Hi! We're Rod and Romana Van Lissum.
In the summer of 2007, we were invited by family to spend the weekend at a cabin in Big White. That weekend we drove around the Okanagan heading towards Oliver, visiting local wineries. Instead of backtracking, we continued through Osoyoos and ended up bumming around this adorable little town. As we headed back to Big White, we stopped to marvel the view from the Anarchist Mountain Look-out Point and vowed to each other that we would one day return to this little gem of a town.
Three years later in 2010, we purchased our first motorhome and headed to NK Mip RV Campground. We were hooked! We returned every summer, extending our visit every few years.
We still drive the same RV, but now we tow our vehicle behind on our car hauler and continue to visit the same campground ten years later, staying lakeside for three long luxurious weeks!
During our Osoyoos summer vacation in 2019, one afternoon while our daughter was visiting, we took a drive down Lakeshore Drive and noticed a house for sale on Osoyoos Lake. Rod had the crazy idea of "just looking into the market and see what is for sale." We contacted local realtor, Alina Lovin, picked her brain on vacation rental information and before we drove home after our three weeks, we were the proud owners of unit #210 in Casa Del Mila Oro in Osoyoos, BC!

Why they chose this property
Friends were visiting a few years ago and they stayed at Casa Del Mila Oro Resort. We spent a bit of time here and instantly fell in love with the complex. We love how well maintained and clean it is, how close to the lake it is too.
What makes this property unique
We love the east side building because it is on the quiet end of the complex. Because the condo is located in the middle of the building, we don't have foot traffic walking by since both sets of stairways are on either end of the building. When you walk out the front door, the view of the Anarchist Mountain and vineyard are beautiful to see.
We also love the fact that when you stand on the patio, there is a lovely view of the inner courtyard where you can see the pool and hot tub.
The condo in general has a cozy feel to it which feels like home.
