About this property

The Abu room at Rumah Damai is newly renovated with granite floors, teak furniture, private bathroom with hot water and is cooled with air conditioning. There is a locking teak wardrobe for clothing/valuables and a terrace. This private room is located less than 200 meters from the east beach on Gili Trawangan.

This unit is the perfect place for mature people who want to have a quiet place to relax and rest after their island adventures. No breakfast is provided, but there is a shared kitchen that includes a refrigerator, toaster, stove, oven an other essentials. Guests can buy food at the markets nearby - information is given upon booking.

There are two other guest rooms on this property along with my room and Jana's room. The garden and kitchen areas are shared. This property is only available for bookings of one week or longer.

I'm an avid scuba diver who has been diving on Gili Trawanagan since 1995. I work in Jakarta and spend all my holidays diving and hanging out on Gili Trawanagan.

Why they chose this property

Rumah Damai is located two streets back from the oceanfront road on Gili Trawangan. It is close to the beach yet, being on the end of the street, is quiet and has privacy if you just want to hang out in the garden and read a book. I love it because it is close to everything yet offers me privacy when I need time to relax. My room is upstairs and I am there during my school holidays. Jana is the "man in charge" and has a room on the property where he lives full time. He will meet you when you arrive and take care of any questions or concerns.

What makes this property unique

The Abu room is great for a person who plans to have a busy time on Gili Trawangan and eat and run. You can make toast, cut up some fruit and off you go. Jana lives onsite and is your "go to" person if you have questions or concerns. He will meet you when you arrive and show you around the space. He can help you rent bikes, or organize breakfast for you.
