As our many guests have experienced this large home has it all, space to be together and space to be alone. The 40 foot living room holds a large family for watching football or movies. The french dining table slides out to seat 18. When togetherness becomes too much, retreat to the front porch, swing in the hammock, hang out by the pool, on the deck, or on the many benches around the property. Or enjoy a nap on the screened porch. We strive to ensure that our guest's experience is beyond their expectations at this extraordinary property.

Want a group activity, we provide a fabulous outdoor fire pit, croquet, lawn bocci, corn hole, horseshoes and soccer balls. Bring your clubs to hit golf balls into the pond.

If doing nothing proves too taxing, walk the 65 acres and meet the miniature donkeys and goats, gather fresh eggs from our chickens each day.

Should you decide to venture off property, visit one of the dozens of wineries in the area, horseback ride at Graves Mountain, hike to the lower or upper water falls on the white oak canyon trail or ride your bike along beautiful country roads.

Still not enough, come back to the property and light a bon fire in the fire pit.

Or simply lie by the pool or on the spectacular screen porch in total privacy with views in every direction. . Enjoy shooting stars and an unbelievable night sky from the hot tub and sunsets over the blue ridge from the front porch.

I just keep coming back to this beautiful property!
I host wellness retreats for women, and I spend hours and hours trying to find the right house. I’m so grateful that I found this place! This last day was probably my fifth or six day here. It never disappoints. Beth is one of the best House I’ve ever worked with. She’s so responsive and wants everything to be to your liking. And I very rarely have to ask her for anything. The grounds are gorgeous. The house is clean and big enough for groups to find their own little nooks or gather together. it really is just breathtaking place to be. Oh, and the people I bring to do the cooking absolutely love the kitchen!

Best rental ever!
Four families spent a weekend at this wonderful farm. We had such a fantastic time. We had kids 7 through 16 and adults above age 40. The 40 year olds love the wineries, the hot tub, the space, cooking in the kitchen - and the kids also love the hod top, the Foos ball, chess, running around outside. We had a boys room (with the bunk beds), and a girls room (with the pull out sofa) and separate rooms for adults. There was enough space for all of us. There were even lovely places for us to sit in a porch and read a book by ourselves. The things that we loved most about this farm were the ANIMALS. We found so many eggs - thank you chickens! And I personally fell in love with the goats. The little donkeys were also lovely. They seemed so excited to see us and so ready to be pet and loved. It was hard to say goodby to them. My kids told them we would be back!

Relaxing Farm Getaway
Absolutely wonderful farm house and property! Great location for visiting the many wineries in the area. We loved the animals, the open land, and the sunset views. Collecting chicken eggs every morning was a fun little perk.

Wonderful second visit
This is our second time staying at this property, and we loved it all over again. The views of the mountains are beautiful, and we really enjoy getting to spend time with the animals. There are several fun places nearby (we're members at Early Mountain Vineyards and highly recommend their wine and food), but it's also a treat to spend time in such a well preserved and appointed farm home. It was cold, so we also made good use of the hot tub. Thank you for having us!

Best wedding weekend ❤️❤️
We booked to stay for my daughter’s wedding that was at Early Mountain Vineyard in Madison VA. We had a large group of 15 and had plenty of room. The house and grounds were as beautiful in person as they are in the pictures. My grandson loved “adventures” around the property especially when he visited the animals. The trees and landscape were perfect. I can’t say enough good things about our visit and the property. The owners were so easy to communicate with. My grandson wants to come back again next year!!! Thanks again for my daughter’s perfect wedding weekend❤️❤️

A lover of all things beautiful especially homes and furnishings I have owned and operated Random Harvest, a high end home furnishings business in the NYC and Dc area for over 30 years.

Why they chose this property

We searched for years to find the right combination of easy to get to and that peaceful feeling of knowing you are truly away from it all. This property had unsurpassed views in literally every direction with total privacy. Alas the house was a mess but with such great bones we could not help to want to bring it beyond what it had become.

What makes this property unique

Very private with mountain views in all directions. Enormous swimming pool and screened porch. Farm animals and fresh eggs every day from our chickens.
