Spacious 2 King Bedroom Condo with Pool

This first floor two bedroom one bath unit features high ceilings, hardwood floors, modern décor and an open-concept kitchen and living space. Kitchen features include imported Carrera Marble counter tops and Kitchen Aid appliances. Living room features 65” smart tv with cable and wifi so you can keep up-to-date with all your online streaming shows.

The Barracks pool is completely fenced and gated with loungers, tables, and chairs for guest use. The pool is heated October 15 - December 15 and again from March 15 - May 30. The pool will not be heated any other dates.

Grounds overlook Jaycee Park in the National Historic Fort Screven District which includes Soccer fields, basketball courts, shuffleboard, a playground and more. Tybee's bike path is great for touring the island and runs along the east side of the park.

Enjoy a short walk to North Beach to enjoy the sand and surf or a bite to eat at the North Beach Grill.

Free off-street parking for 2 vehicles makes staying on Tybee even easier for you and your guests.

Pool Seasonality: The Barracks Pool is open year-round. It is heated on the following date range:
October 1 – December 15
March 1 – May 30
The pool is not and will not be heated from December 15 through March 1 as the air temps are too cool to maintain an adequate swimming temp.

Cleaning Precautions: After each guest checks out, we have professional housekeepers clean each vacation home from top to bottom with disinfectant, wiping down all surfaces and floors. All towels and linens are professionally laundered and individually vacuumed packed until needed. When the housekeepers are complete a member of our team inspects the home, using gloves and/or disinfectant wipes, to ensure nothing was missed and restock any cleaning supplies. We strive to provide the most comfortable environment for your stay.

Great rental!

We had an awesome week staying at the Barracks! Rental was just as listed. Easy walk to the beach and we enjoyed the private pool! Only 2 recommendations to give, new nonstick pans are needed and insect/bug spray needed around windows and door. This was our first trip to Tybee and will definitely not be our last! Thanks!!!

Barracks Escape

Our stay at the barracks, with close proximity to the beach and excellent amenities, was outstanding. Despite some initial concerns about noisy upstairs neighbors (mostly just excited kids), our stay was absolutely fantastic and property management staff were attentive and responsive. 100% recommend this picturesque, historic, and unique property!

The place was just as it showed online. It was nice and clean. The beds and pillows were so very comfortable!! Walking distance to the beach. There was a smell from the water in the bathroom but I guess that is common. Other than that it was a great stay.

Tranquility meets the Beach

We really enjoyed our stay in Unit 3! The Unit is in the back of the Barricks with a few steps to get to the door. We loved that everything was white and clean. We didn't do any heavy cooking but used the dishes and utensils and we had plenty of those. The beds are comfortable and had nice quality pillows and sheets. We had plenty of towels and wash clothes and I did see they left 2 beach towels in the closet as well as extra pillows and blankets. The location to the beach was perfect! It's a easy 5 minute stroll. We loved the park that was in the front yard of the Barricks and sat on the front porch every morning to have coffee because a Unit was empty. We enjoyed the pool. Overall a very quite location but not far from anything. If I had one thing to say that I didn't Love was that the water is well and it has a very strong smell that is typical for well water. Thanks for letting us stay and celebrate our 25th Anniversary!

Lovely Condo and North Beach Side of the Island

We enjoyed our stay at the Barracks! The condo was in excellent condition and just as advertised. Our kids loved playing in the pool, a perfect way to unwind and relax after a day of fun on the island or neighboring Savannah. Access to the beach was fine, and it was about a ten or so minute walk to the beach. A neighbor told us about the beach entrance at the end of Solomon, which we LOVED; it was much less crowded than the main North Beach area up the road. With the condo tucked away behind Jaycee park providing a quiet place to stay, plus the pool and short walk to the beach, we'd stay there again.

Nice location, very noisy

The location is awesome 5 minute walk to the beach, apartment is big and airy, the bed were surprisingly comfortable, pool very nice, good parking. It could use some love when it comes to some maintenance ( dust bunnies here and there behind the doors, some black marks on the walls and cabinets, front door completely uninsulated is a waste of energy ). All cabinets way to low for very short people, also would be nice to add some drapes in the bedrooms and insulate phonic the apartment even a bit ( you can hear people walking outside...). All in all we have a relaxing time and we would recommend the place.

Great stay

This was a lovely location on beautiful property and in a very convenient location. Staff and facilities were excellent! Only two comments: heated pool wasn't. I think they were having problems w/it BUT it was really nice lounging by pool anyway and we're not big swimmers so not a big deal. Other 'negative', we were on the lower level which was fine but there is no sound barrier between floors so we heard every footstep which is fine except when guests come in late at night and wander about w/shoes on for a couple of hours (which one set of guests did but only the one night!). You can't blame people for walking and otherwise the facility and guests were very quiet. Definitely a do-over stay!

Very nice property in a great location. Note unit #3 is in the back of the building and the washer/dryer is outside of the unit (but very close and convenient). An easy walk to the beach (nice swing to enjoy your morning coffee). Convenient to get on/off the island. We had stayed at the south end of Tybee before and like this North end location much better.

First time to Tybee-- a great place to land!

This was our first time to Tybee and we wanted a place in a quiet area that would be a nice home base for my husband, myself, and our 1.5 year old. This was perfect! The apartments are clean and modern without unnecessary details, and the king beds are super comfortable. We especially loved the pool. It was never that busy, and we were able to take our son swimming at least once a day. Perfect for March when the ocean was too cold. We also loved the playground right next door, and the farmer's market at the lighthouse within walking distance. The only complaint would be that the kitchen doesn't have a ton of dish ware and we would have appreciated wine glasses or glassware for cocktails.

A little Gem....

This condo/property is a true gem. Looking for a very last minute getaway out of Atlanta, I heard back immediately from the property manager and they kept the excellent communication and customer service throughout our stay. The condo was wonderful (I can be a little picky with hotels). The beds were cozy, and who wouldn’t love that kitchen! The pool was pleasant, and it was only a five minute walk to the beach. We can’t wait to return, plus it would be the perfect place to invite other friends/families to rent the other condos on the property (and you still get your privacy when you need it). We found our little escape from the city only four hours away!
