Living room with a candle fireplace and a separate TV room with a wood-burning fireplace. Make this your rustic-home-away-from-home any time of year. Plenty of quaint space for socializing. Plenty of open space for meditation by the pool-water’s edge, the pond’s edge, in/near a barn, or in the woods.
HVAC provides indoor comfort year round and the two fireplaces offer ambience in the summer and extra warmth in the winter.
The concrete swimming pool deck is adjacent the indoor tv room. The 20’x40’ swimming pool glistens by the light of the sun and the light of the moon. It’s your pool. It never closes. The swim-out in the 9-feet-deep-end provides seating for two. NO DIVING. The most-shallow-end is 3-feet deep with wide walk-in stairs/rail. Underwater lighting provides swimming enjoyment at any hour you choose. Please be respectful of others at the property, even your own family and friends, whose bedrooms will overlook the pool deck.
Our oasis is in the country allows you to enjoy every hour of every day. Sit poolside, or sit fireside at the brick fire pit, and observe the stars where the sky is so black you will see stars you never knew existed among night time sounds you may never have heard. Pre-cut, seasoned wood, retrieved from the property clean-up, is readily available for building your fire.
Catch some zzz ‘s, if you please, in luxuriously comfortable linens on platform beds with new firm mattresses.
At dawn, you can cast a fishing line in our pond if fishing is your gig. Morning dew may welcome you until the sun awakens and the dew is consumed by the elements of the earth. Countless kids have caught their first fish in this family pond. Bring your own fishing gear or use ours, if you’re okay with a Zebco 404. We can even provide live bait when requested a day in advance. Catch and release only. If you want to catch and keep, nearby large lakes, Green River Lake, Barren River Lake and Nolin River Lake are about 40 minutes away.

Oasis in the Country is a fun and relaxing haven for every age, in a 9-acre-setting directly off Highway 61 (Greensburg Road), 60 minutes south of Louisville, KY, and it’s attractions-Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Museum, Muhammad Ali Center, Frazier History Museum, YUM! Center.
