This beautiful 2 bedroom , 2 story home offers you a home away from home. With a country setting you can relax and unwind after a full day of activities. In the country yet 1/4 mile from convenient freeway on ramp. 15 miles south of Eugene and 2 miles north of Cottage Grove.
This home is a guest home completely separate from the main home with a 100% complete remodel adding all the modern amenities of an upscale hotel, while all the charm of a French country interior. This home boasts hardwood floors throughout as well as full marble bathroom. The home is part of an estate that dates to circa 1884 sitting on 4 acres. While the main residence was a stage coach stop the “carriage” house was also built in 1884 and fully transformed in 2020

Special Note : this rental has its own private hot tub for your use.
This estate property also has an in ground pool that is intended for the private use of the main home and not this rental as well as an additional hot tub. For this reason, we do not think this rental is advisable for small children who may come in contact with the pool or hot tub. We do not have a life guard

Parking for 3 vehicles/boat is available for your use all off street and down the end of a circular driveway.

There is also a pond on the property that is available for pictures but no fishing is allowed as this pond is jointly shared with our neighbors. Please enjoy this beautiful setting but please use at your own risk and have regard for the private residence and driveway to the side. We have a few chairs for your use if you wish. Please view the pictures I have included for you to see the setting. Evening sunsets can be very pretty from this area.

There are also horses on one of our 2 acre fields next to the vegetable garden. These horses are not ours and the wire around the field is a live electric fence.

The vegetable garden is free for you to walk through and nibble as you see ripe goodies or glean for your evening dinner. Through out the year we have a varying variety but mostly in the late summer and early fall is when we maintain the garden. But use the herbs or tomatoes if there is any available. We have a timer on the hoses, so please do not turn any hoses off as this may affect the watering of the gardens

Weather:
One of the features of this home is a full house air conditioner. This feature is needed from about June through September but sometimes even more.
This is a must, as occasionally we have 90 degrees or more for a week here and there.

The winters are a bit chilly and occasionally we get a tiny bit of snow. Some years we get none and every 30 years we get 3 feet, but that is super rare. When we do, it never lasts more than a day or so. Summers are 70’s and 80’s and we get rain anytime of year with July and August being rare. Our summers stretch into October but just chillier at night.

This place is absolutely a piece of heaven, we hope you come and enjoy it. You wont be sorry, in fact you’ll wish you stayed longer. At least thats what everyone tells me. We even have repeat guests that book several weeks at a time every year.
