FAMILY FUN EMPORIUM!! Billiards, HEATED Pool, 2 Lofts!! Sleeps 18 Adults

We have had so many wonderful guests stay at this property (look at all of our 5 star reviews) and none of them complained as much, damaged as much or were so very rude to our staff as these guests were. They somehow broke the upstairs garden tub and caused several thousands of dollars in restoration. The plumber said the shoe was broken in the tub from too much weight in the tub. Owners of course immediately had plumber out to stop leak and to assess. Unfortunately this bathtub became one that is still unable to be used as Owners had to wait on insurance and then elected not to interrupt any guests stays with renovations in a main area of this home. The shower in master continued to work at all times and there are luckily 3 other full bathrooms and a 5th half bathroom. Upon their vacancy, there were so many pet related damages caused by these guests whom began their inquiry requesting us to allow her “3 very well trained dogs”. We had just had the carpets professionally cleaned and had not had any guests with pets at this residence for years so no pet smells and pet hair free. This guest described these pets as “Axl is a 10 year old 20 lb Brussels Griffon. Dixie is a 4 year old 20 lb Mini Golden doodle. Roux is an almost 3 year old 60 lb Golden Doodle. They all get groomed monthly, house trained and very well behaved.” They sounded like so many wonderful families we had hosted over the past 15+ yrs, another relo family that needed temporary housing till they could find permanent and we are pet owners and lovers so completely understood needing a place for the whole family. From the moment these guests arrived, their dogs were quite unruly, barking & scratching at the glass patio door which now has 4 ft scratches all over the glass, charging at anyone when they arrived and pooping everywhere - on carpet, on turf, on tile, etc. When we asked guests to keep their dogs inside or crated while we delivered a courtesy mail key, the husband assured our staff that it was ok to go into backyard and drop off the key as dogs were inside the home. These dogs were just loose in the backyard and when we attempted to go to back patio they all came aggressively charging at our staff who barely got away from these dogs. We heard from several of our maintenance and quality assurance staff of old dog poop left on several carpeted areas of house including large loft and billiards room which had the worst damages, all over the artificial turf and gravel in the backyard. These guests not only complained about everything from the moment they arrived, they just never seemed satisfied with all of the things the owners did to make their stay most enjoyable such as replacing one of the downstairs couches with a brand new leather sectional or all of the immediate responses to multiple problems they somehow seemed to have more than any other guest ever at this house. The RO just had filters replaced prior to their check in which we mentioned they didn’t want to use the RO, they insisted on Fridge Water which this home had a brand new stainless steel fridge which had been operating wonderfully for previous guests whom were also a relo and had thoroughly enjoyed since it was delivered that Dec. The fridge filter also began stating that the fridge needed to be replaced. We always leave brand new filters at this house so guests can replace as needed and this Husband said he “would figure it out”. Owners quickly called in appliance service and had the brand new fridge’s ice maker replaced with new. It was working and then it was not again, during their stay. We called in another appliance repair - they said the fridge filter had been jammed in backwards and this is what caused 2nd new ice maker to stop working. It was still replaced. Upon our arrival, several pieces of art were removed from walls, shoved under beds and in closets with their original hardware missing. All of the bedding including sheets, mattress protectors and pillow protectors had tons of dog hair, urine smells and staining. Master comforter was chewed up. House had some intense perfume spray trying to mask a worse and very intense pet urine and pet smell that was in every room in the house. Furniture was moved around. Reddish brown stains were found on several walls in house, on the cream ottoman and the vanity cushion. Another large brownish red stain was smeared across shower curtain in downstairs bathroom. All kitchen ware was moved around into different areas. Decorative Glass Salt & Pepper Grinders were missing and only their lids were found, 9 of the knives for the Cuisineart knife block were never found. All the stools for billiards room were moved by entry and then some upstairs including one with a cracked leg. A broken pool stick was found behind the couch in family room, the pool rack was cracked. Vomit or pet diareaha was found on the felt on the pool table- dried and not even attempted to be cleaned. A brand new fancy corn hole set that was just purchased for this guests arrival with a nice canvas carrying bag was missing from garage and never found. The ignitor on BBQ grill had the battery placed in backwards which would not allow it to work. Auto Sensor light in garage was broken and stuck in the ON position which would’t allow this light to be turned off till it was replaced. Metal scratches left on Master TV Screen, a large slice was found through the window screen in kids bathroom, Blue paint like stains on pavers in backyard, sticky residue like when duct tape is removed found on several hallway cabinets and more- the list went on and on and took several professional cleanings to return home to it’s former condition. We found several bottles of pet stain removed under cabinets. We immediately had both carpet cleaners and carpet replacement co’s inspect and evaluate the pet related damages which also included black drips along the tiled areas. Carpet cleaners said they thought it was very unlikely given this many areas that needed to be treated that they could guarantee removal of pet odors, especially if it had soaked into padding. Owners ended up having to replace carpet. Carpet installers showed several stains on underside of carpet and even said some areas were still so soaked with pet urine that they were dripping when carpet was removed. These guests would never be welcome at any of our properties and they definitely did not have well trained and house trained pets. Very unfortunate after so many 5 star & very appreciative and happy guests to have guests like this treat this home the way that they have, ask several times for a credit due to tub they broke being unusable and then to have written such an awful review. I assure any guest considering this property that our staff and the owners go well above and beyond to make sure all is excellent for all of our guests and will continue to do so.
