Absolutely Oceanfront-Penthouse Corner-$199

Gorgeous ocean front, with side window view of beautiful beach. Because of erosion, the access to the beach was closed, had to walk to another property to reach beach, but both directions were beautiful. Unit was comfortable, nice leather couch and chair, and wonderful private lanai with comfortable chairs, perfect view of sunsets. We were a little disappointed that there was limited pots and pans, especially no frying pan. There were 4 glasses and a few mismatched plates and bowls, and we ended up using paper plates and cups instead of washing dishes so often. Internet didn't work, had to call the owner and we finally found a way to connect. A few days later we lost internet connection again and it took another couple of days before we were hooked up again. The double shower head and on/off, cold/hot handles were confusing and we went without a shower the first day until we again contacted the owner. We thought the online listing showed a bathtub, but there is none. There were plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets, and small jars of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Beyond that, there was little in the bathroom including no make-up mirror. The bidet was interesting but we didn't use it. The fans were nice and we ended up not using the air conditioning. The sliding glass doors to the lanai gave a beautiful view of the ocean, however, the doors needed fixing because there was a cord that kept getting tangled and the doors were difficult to open. The TV was nice but we were unable to watch our favorite shows because the cable service did not include NBC. We spent several hours trying to find a way to watch "The Voice" through one of our devices, but ended up having to watch it on our phone. We also had difficulty getting CBS to work without signing up for a free trial access. There was no sound system except a small iPod unit, no CD player. We took the beach chairs to a beach and realized that one of them was broken and unusable. There were 4 in all and they were pretty old. The counters and table tops were clean and the floor was clean, but the cupboard handles were sticky. In general, the unit needs work. For the price we paid, it was a fabulous view but it wasn't the penthouse we expected. We won't stay there again because of the wasted hours we spent trying to get things to work. Plus, it needs the touch of a woman.

We rented the condo for one week in early October 2019. It has an unmatched view, is just like the photos, and is perfectly located. You can hear the waves even inside with the door open. I hope to be able to stay there again. If you’re looking for sea turtles go closer to Makena. Highly recommend the Calypso snorkel trip, Haleakala, southeast and northwest Maui, and the Old Lahaina Luau.

Everything about this place way amazing!!! Clean, close to everything and the view was outbid this world. The only neg thing is that the whole week we were there we couldn’t use the WiFi. We tried everything unplugged it, typed in every combo of info we could find, you name it we tried it. I messaged them about it and they just told me to do all the things we already tried, so we tried it all again. Still couldn’t sign on. Seeing how we were on vacation and were using our phones for gps also and all kinds of other things it would have been nice not to waste even more data when “home” and it was to be included. Other then that very frustrating part, I would def stay again (just make sure I have a lot of extra data. Haha 😉)

This is just as advertised! This is a beautiful unit with a captivating view. The sunset is tremendous over the spacious waters and between Molokai and Lenai

This was a fantastic place to stay! It was right on the water and the corner unit view was amazing. The place was well equipped and made it a highlight of our vacation. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the island!
