We arrived at crystal palms and said we could check-in there of it was before 5 o'clock, no one was there to check-in so we had to go to the sister hotel sunset vista. Check-in time was 4 o'clock.We arrived a little early, so we were able to use the facilities. We didn't have a great experience with the woman at the front desk, Victoria i believe her name was. She was not friendly, didn't want to help and answer questions and you could tell she just wanted to get out of there. She said she would call us when the room was ready, she never did so we had to go back on our own at about 5 o'clock to see if the room was finally ready and it was. We stayed at crystal palms. The room was okay a little outdated. The pool could have been better. We took our shoes off at the front door and you could tell it was not 100% vacuumed or swept. Sand everywhere to the point where we had to wipe our feet off before getting into bed at night. We checked out about 7:30 AM, and checkout was much better with a wonderful personable, happy friendly woman named Jules

Great stay!

The condo was great, comfy and clean. The unit is on the 2nd floor and just outside is a noisy intersection, so the balcony wasn’t too relaxing, but otherwise the location was great. Beach is very close, you can tent chairs and umbrellas on the beach. This part of the beach seemed less crowded than Mad Beach or clearwater- which was a nice bonus. We went to John’s Pass (5 min drive) to shop and rent jet skis- very fun! Lots of bars and food options!

Beach weekend

Great location, close to beach. Only complaints were the garbage disposal was clogged and not working. So the sink drain was not working well. Also, the dryer vent was totally clogged with sand and lint and may be a fire hazard. They disposal was fixed quickly, thank you. All in all a great place for a beach stay.

Check in was a nightmare. I asked for early check in a week in advance and three hours before normal check in and was told by the front desk that she did not know if the room was ready. She's standing in front of a computer which she claims does not have that information. This i thought was stone age behavior.

Our stay

Everything was fine with our stay. The room wasn’t like pic on vrbo site. We only had one set of towels for a week stay per room. Should have at least two sets per room. The balcony furniture was falling apart. And our bathroom sink was stopped up and master toilet. But besides those hiccups we enjoyed our stay by the beach.

Had to change location

We were booked at Crystal Palms but could not check in there as desk was not open even though was during open hours listed. Elevator was not working and we were put on 3rd floor. Went to Sunset Vistas to check in and had to upcharge to stay there instead. Property was nice but we may have shopped around had we known ahead that things were not working. Said that pool was heated however none were. The hot tubs worked. Room was nice and we did enjoy our stay.
