This property has the best location for getting to the beach and into the town - the interior was a bit tired and could do with an update.

A hidden gem of a cottage in the perfect location.
The Buoys is a lovely cottage perfectly situated between the harbour and Porthmeor Beach. It literally takes seconds to walk to the harbour and a couple of minutes to walk to Porthmeor! The cottage is accessed through a courtyard on the lower level and also from a little stone garden on the upper level. This means the cottage is in the unique position of being centrally located but without the steady flow of tourists walking past the windows! Everything we needed for the week was there including brilliant WiFi, essential when traveling with teenagers! Peter, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful. He sent us lots of local information and recommendations of places to go alongside all the information we needed about his property. He also provides plenty of beach equipment for his guests to use which saved us the usual first day shopping spree! There isn’t any designated parking with this cottage but we were lucky enough to find a space for most of the week in a square next to the cottage. On the last night we had to find parking elsewhere but Peter had left instructions of where to try and we found somewhere easily.
All in all I would say The Buoys is an absolute hidden gem and I would highly recommend staying there.

Quainter than it looks in the photos, lovely location, perfect base for St Ives family holiday
We had a lovely stay at The Buoys, so conveniently located between Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches, with Norway Stores just round the corner and even (if you are lucky, like we were) parking next to the property.
Close enough to the town centre (3 mins) to be able to pop down to Moomaid of Zennor & St Ives Bakery to bring back morning coffee & croissants for breakfast without it being a major outing.
The cottage has lovely character with it's two entrances. The quiet garden square upstairs is perfect for an evening glass of wine whilst still being able to keep check on the kids (we had three under 8, sharing the bunk beds).
All round a very very good holiday cottage.

Top-Unterkunft in zentraler Lage

Nice apartment, perfectly located - unfortunately widely untended
The apartment is exactly as the description promises. Perfect location, good furniture, expedient kitchen, bathroom etc. Peter, the host, is also very responsive (remotely) and the "pre-reads" he sends out are very helpful. Unfortunately though the cleanliness of the apartment is poor. It seams that floor, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, fridge etc. have been wet wiped only ages ago. The patio, shared with other apartments in the block, is neglected at best. On that ground we do not recommend the apartment unless Peter finds a way to quality check / observe the cleaning.

lovely cottage and close to everything you might need to enjoy your holiday
The Buoys is a great place to stay for a holiday in St Ives, a good size for a family of four with a great range of facilities. The Buoys was clean and well presented and we received lots of helpful information from the owner on the cottage facilities but also really good tips for travel and for enjoying St Ives.
It is ideally located for access to the beach, shops and restaurants of St Ives and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
