Waterfront “State of Mind” vintage home.

Quaint 3 bedroom 2 bath 1960 river house set on 2 acres on the beautiful May River. Stones throw from downtown. Gorgeous views, incredible breeze, quiet, private, historical area. Backs up to an adjacent privately owned 15 acre farm. One level ranch style with three bedrooms. Kitchen and bath updates. New furnishings. Two small bathrooms each with a shower yet also a wonderful outside shower. Elliptical machine if you want some indoor exercise. Foosball table, small basketball court with 2 goals, fire pit, grill, and a horseshoe pit for fun entertainment inside or out! Walkable to downtown, NO dock. Golf cart -4 seater- available for rent upon request. Two day minimum 50.00/day or 300.00/week. Must be 21 or over to drive. Bikes available upon request through PEDALS HH 888-699-1039 if you would rather bike to town for lunch, dinner, or drinks.

The views from this property are fantastic! It is also incredibly well located in Old Town Bluffton. The owner/property manager is very easy to work with. I highly recommend this property.

Above all, this property offers incredible views breathtaking as a Nicholas Sparks novel come to life. A heritage homestead close to Old Town, we were minutes from the conveniences of modern Bluffton and the beaches of Hilton Head Island. Wonderful experience

It was our second time staying at this property and both times have been wonderful. The view is breathtaking and relaxing. The location is close to a lot of different activities within 20 minutes.

Magical Setting

Lovely, spacious 3 bedroom home that is very close to old town. Extremely private. The entire back of the house overlooks the river and surrounding marsh - very special!

Peaceful home away from home

We rented this property for our family vacation and could not have been happier. It was the perfect setting to just get away from it all and relax! The host was so responsive when we had questions and we had everything we needed. There were even chairs and plenty of beach towels for beach day. The host’s dogs were so fun and would stop by every morning to say hi and enjoy a round of fetch. If we ever make it back down to the area we will definitely try to rent this property again.

Beautiful views

The house was very spacious and clean. The views were amazing and you felt safe in the little neighborhood-Your own private little corner of the town. Only complaint was no curtains in 2 of the bedrooms for the windows, I think maybe they were remodeling and hadn’t put them up yet. Would recommend and definitely stay again!!

Beautiful view by the river

We had a great time at this beautiful home by the river. The view was even better than the pictures show and there was almost always a great breeze coming off the river. The kids had a great time playing on the small basketball court, foosball and there was even a trampoline that wasn't mentioned in the house description.

Best VRBO yet

Our son attends USCB in Bluffton. The area is so beautiful that we decided last year that when we visit, we wouldn’t stay in a hotel - we wanted to experience the beauty all day and night. That’s exactly what this property provides. Windows everywhere looking out to the May River! And an amazing backyard right on the river. A short walk to restaurants and shops while feeling perfectly tucked away in nature. The inside is updated and perfectly maintained. The owners are responsive and accommodating. It was the perfect weekend. We will absolutely be back.

Bluffton stay

The place and location are excellent. Increible views and environment. The house however smelled as if there was urine. The cookware was dated and hard to cook with as anything would stick and was hard to clean. The electrical system is old and outdated with current standards. In fact lost the kitchen because of a breaker tripping which we found out the next day.

Stunning water and marsh views in garden setting

Mid-century style sprawling Ranch style house with ample room, and good furnishings, plus plush towels and many conveniences. Great washer and dryer. Best of all, each bedroom has wonderful views, topped by the master bedroom, which has Florida ceiling views. There is a large expanse of front yard with a basketball court and backyard with palm trees, palmettos, and other wonderful rustling trees. Privacy is excellent. We enjoyed mini balmy breezes. Only downside was that all over. The doors and windows are painted shutter. Will not open. Except for the side entries. So the wind cannot blow through. But that’s fine. Because there is air-conditioning. Good tvs

Beautiful home but needs attention

The view was fantastic. We walked to the downtown for coffee every morning and the home was spacious. We wish the pier hasn't been broken down as it was a shame not being able to go out by the water having rented a home on the water. It slips me now but maybe that was noted on the VRBO listing. Also, the home while lovely, it is in need of a deep cleaning. The cleaning crew hadn't been by when we checked in but the property manager quickly rectified that. However, there is dust in a lot of places. The drawers have droppings in them and many of the kitchen items just looked dingy. It was unfortunate but not surprising when we spotted German roaches. Because of that, we made very little use of the kitchen. We checked out 2 days ago and some items (clothing and luggage) we had to spray with raid, bag and quarantine in our garage to ensure we didn't bring any of them or their eggs into our home. This location is a gem but it needs attention.

We had a very relaxing stay! Home was very clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen had a variety of pots & pans that we put to good use. Showers were clean and had great water pressure. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of blankets. The neighbor dogs did come over to introduce themselves and really would've liked to stay for the bacon we were cooking!! The were super friendly and we enjoyed watching them jump around the river. Only minor complaint was when the air conditioner kicked on, there is a substantial clunk in duct work that seemed to only be heard in the master bedroom. Not a problem in the day but a little shocking when you are trying to fall asleep. Again, not a huge deal!Owners were super friendly and answered my million questions super quickly. Would highly recommend! We will definitely rent again! Thanks for a wonderful week.
