Hello everyone,
We are Kevin & Mary, we love travel and adventure. We have traveled and worked in a handful of countries all over the Caribbean, Central & South America and all over the US.

We have worked many facets and echelons of the hospitality world most of our lives, from housekeeping to basic food service. Our 25 years of these experiences have fostered our passion for hospitality.

We spent almost a decade working on the ocean, traveling, finding ourselves and each other.

During one of our trips and starting of new jobs we were traveling from south to north we made a stop in Gatlinburg and The Smoky Mountains part of that journey and knew right away we wanted to purchase in east Tennessee. It was the people, the people of east Tennessee were as welcoming as The Smoky Mountains. It took 6 months, a few flights, countless hours on the phone and internet. Well now here we are!

Why they chose this property

We chose The Cocoa Cabin because it delivers what most Gatlinburg guests look for: true log cabin character, three private king suites on separate levels, and a location that is close to everything yet still quiet and wooded.

For sports tournaments at Rocky Top Sports Complex, the cabin works especially well. The layout gives players, coaches, and families their own space to rest between games, while the game room, hot tub, and decks offer places to unwind after long days. Being only a short drive from the complex keeps logistics simple and cuts down on time in the car.

For fall foliage trips, the cabin is an easy home base for scenic drives, hiking, and enjoying Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival events. You can spend the day exploring the park and downtown Gatlinburg, then come back to a warm cabin, soak in the hot tub under cool autumn skies, and relax on the covered decks surrounded by colorful trees.

For holiday gatherings, the three king suites and open main level make hosting multi generational families or several couples comfortable. There is room for shared meals, gift exchanges, and movie nights, along with quiet corners for reading or conversation. Guests can enjoy Winterfest lights, parades, and local holiday events, then return to a cozy log cabin that feels like home.

We selected this property because it fits all of these use cases without compromise. Whether your stay is about competition, fall color, or celebrating the holidays, The Cocoa Cabin is designed to support the way you travel together.
