About this property

*After each booking cleaning will be STRICTLY cleaned including ozone purification once tenants check out. For additional protection we have installed a MedifyAir H13 whole home medical grade air purification system. This system cleans the air in the entire home 4x per hour.

Our neck of the woods is a warm and cozy modern rustic cabin located in a quiet neighborhood, nestled in the woods. Our home is minutes from Cedar Point Park and Pentwater River State Game area where you can enjoy hiking trails and the surrounding wildlife and nature. We have access to Lake Michigan within a short walk/drive, < 10 minutes from Silver Lake Sand Dunes, < 15 minutes from Small Town Pentwater, and 45 minutes from Luddington State Park Beach. The surrounding area provides gorgeous light house views, amazing Lake Michigan sunsets, excellent hart-Montague biking trails which also serve as snow mobile trails in the winter, canoeing, fishing, not to mention wineries galore. You can do as much and as little as you'd like.

This is a STRICT SMOKE AND PET FREE property which supports a maximum of 9 guests comfortably. There are also OUTDOOR ONLY security cameras.
The home features 2 bedrooms with 1 queen and 1 bunk bed with a full/twin combination as well as a loft/bedroom with 2 full size beds and 1 large double shower. Kitchen dinning provides seating for 8. There are large viewing windows which provide for natural light. There are games, toys, and books for the kids/adults which provides a family friendly atmosphere. The living area is cozy with an electric fire place, 65" TV, home theater system, along with Satellite tv. The loft also has seating areas throughout, in addition to a yoga corner.

In the summers, spring, and fall you can enjoy all nature has to offer on the large wrap around porch, and weber grill with propane included. Many wildlife views. Enjoy evening bonfires.

Full Washer, dryer, full kitchen, Central Heat/Air, and osmosis filtration system for great tasting water. Free cellular based internet is provided, due to our location speeds/service maybe limited at times. Large amounts of device usage and during peak season may cause service interruption.

Great experience

This house is all that is advertised. Situated in the perfect spot we are close to silver lake sand dunes but far enough away for a cozy cottage feel. Property owner is responsive and easy to work with.

Great vacation!

We had an amazing time! The property was in a great location with a lot to do around the area with access to great beaches! The property was so cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely perfect

Check-in was a breeze, labels on drawers, cupboards and light switches helped us a lot. The property was quiet and peaceful. The directions for checkout were clear and easy to follow. This will definitely be our first choice when looking to book in this area again

Our Neck of the Woods

We had a wonderful vacation at Our Neck of the Woods located in Mears, MI. This is the third time my family has stayed at this property and I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back! The property is clean and the pictures are an accurate description. All the cooking necessities are included in the kitchen to cook full meals. The shower is stocked with body wash, shampoo, & conditioner. We had a relaxing vacation spending time at the beautiful beach in Pentwater, rode the dune buggies at Mac Woods, fed the animals at UP North, and enjoyed relaxing on the deck at the cabin. We had an amazing vacation!

We are an adventure seeking fun family!! We would love for you to enjoy our home during the wonderful summer and winter months in the silver lake area!!! We went out on a limb after coming up north from Illinois the past few years and decided to get a family vacation home to cherish all the memories... We thought it would be a great idea to share this with others.

Why they chose this property

Our property was built in 2019 with state of the art materials. It's literally in like new condition. We painstakingly put in months of work to get the home to the level it currently is in. Every little detail was reviewed to ensure people that stay here, including ourselves need nothing else to have a great time!!! Our family has vacationed in the Mears/Western Michigan area for several years. If this is your first stay to the area, I will venture to say that it will likely not be your last. Mears is in close proximity to all sorts of activities including biking, boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets, small town shopping, great restaurants, snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing-you name it. The people from the area are warm and friendly. There are plenty of Wineries to choose from in addition to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes which are just a hop, skip, and a jump away. You can also enjoy ATV/off-roading, and did I mention the views of Lake Michigan? It is our love for the area that has brought us to routinely vacation here.

What makes this property unique

We strive to offer a truly unique vacation home experience with one of the cleanest properties in the area. ALL amenities are included to make you feel at home including, high speed Internet, roughly .75 acres of land with a generous size deck and patio. A huge outdoor block fire pit is provided for those cool nights to sit around and share stories with the family. Love the water? Take a 5 minute walk and you'll have direct access to over 800' of Lake Michigan shoreline with all its beauty!!
