Located in Ainamalu, an environmentally conscious luxury community powered by Tesla solar panels, Mountain Sunrise boasts expansive views of four Big Island mountains - including two, Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, which are snow capped in the winter.
Mountain Sunrise is a private home with a large 760 square foot patio, a grass backyard and an outdoor kitchenette with a gas BBQ. The home has a spacious central living room and kitchen with high vaulted ceilings and glass sliding doors that open to the backyard and pool deck. The master bedroom features a king bed with an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and soaking tub. On the other side of the main living space, the second bedroom has a king bed and the third bedroom has a twin bunk bed and an additional twin bed, bringing the home's sleep capacity to seven. Both bedrooms share a full bathroom with a shower and tub combo. Guests may park in the covered garage and use the beach gear provided. We loved our stay at Ainamalu. Everything was perfect. Had a minor issue with the wifi and shower drain but they resolved within a few hours of my call. Highly recommend. Would love to come back.
My wife, three year old, and me LOVED this property. Great size primary bedroom and modern open floor plan in the living room/kitchen. The outdoor shower was great after a day at the beach, and the back yard was in mint condition and great for kicking around the soccer ball. I would Definitely recommend to a friend

Great property and location. There were some issues with the property. The A/C did not work. Nothing happened when reported to property management. Had to suffer through one night which was hot. Property management was poor and unresponsive to our needs. We asked for extra towels which we never received. The front gate into the property does not lock and it keeps hitting the gate post when it is windy and it needs fixing. One of the bedroom doors was creaking and made an annoying noise in the still of the night. Poor property management made a dent in our vacation. We expected more for the price we paid for the location. We ended up giving three stars because of that.
The house was fairly new, nice and modern.
My daughter stayed in one of the bedrooms on the other side of the house from master suite, and the walls seemed very thin. If we got up earlier or went to bed later than her, we couldn't make any noise in the kitchen or living room, as she could hear everything from her room. Maybe the house lacks some items that might absorb the sound.
Also we wished we knew that the highway was fairly close to the house, so early in the morning or early evening was quite noisy to leave the windows open.
Overall we enjoyed really staying at this property. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the house furnishings are quite confortable. Loved the outdoor grilling area!
There are some really nice beaches not too far from where we stayied either. I saw some ealy comments that the house was isolated, but I truly think that the location was perfect.
Great property. New construction, clean, well appointed. Huge back yard. We really enjoyed our stay. Owners did a good job putting the house together. Would definitely stay there again!
The house is nearly new. Great location, the kitchen was well stocked and there were some beach toys in the garage. Would definitely so this again next year.
