The house is about an hour drive from the port of Naxos Chora and 25km from Filoti, the central village of the island where there are all kinds of shops and where any point of interest is accessible in less than one half hour. There is no public transport serving the premises. It is advisable to rent a car, a very good restaurant (1st on the island in 2016 and 2nd in 2018) is about 800 meters and an excellent traditional tavern-grill called Kantina at 1200 meters walk or 2 km by car (above the port). In the latter we can taste local products and especially the lamb from near salt produced locally (producers). Finally, there is another option: home delivery of meals prepared with local products (from 6 servings).

Naxos Edge Retreat is more than just a vacation rental, it's a way of life. NO MORE Wi-Fi
Following various discussions and inter-family tensions among people who do not understand that a location like this can not have a cable connection (phone) to be able to offer fast and unlimited connections, we opted for the non-Wi-Fi centralized, because that would represent the 50% of the cost of the rent. Anyway the region is very well covered by the 4G network so we can access the Web with his Smartphone. As a result, everyone can consume the data they have in their package without additional costs for EU residents; or offer it to others by putting it in Hot-spot. In addition we think that this paradise is not the recommended place for addicts of the Web.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. The road that leads to the Villa, in its last 2.8 km is a track that is passable even by a car that is not too low (Fiat Panda). However, we recommend a 4X4 for more comfort, especially if you want to visit other great sites on the Island that are much more difficult to access.
2. Water is very rare in the islands in general. We ask our guests to respect nature and be vigilant with their water consumption. We intervene only in cases (rare but existing) of vandalism concerning the excessive consumption of water.
