Hydrangeas, a staple of the South, grow with abandon at certain times of the year, and adorn the home with their colorful petals and gorgeous scent.

The large living room is beautifully appointed with a plush sectional sofa and a large upholstered chair for relaxing, reading, and/or conversing. A big screen TV is located above the gas fireplace.

The Carolina Room, a second seating area, sits adjacent to the living room and offers guests extra space to entertain, read, play games or just chill. It boasts a stylish sofa and comfy upholstered chair-- the perfect complement to the living room. The view from the Carolina Room is of the gardens adorning the courtyard-- vibrant with all manner of Southern foliage.

The gourmet kitchen comes completely equipped with pans and utensils needed to whip up breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beyond. The walk-in kitchen pantry holds plates, cups, and glasses as well as extra storage space for guests.
For dining, the elegant marble dining table provides seating for up to 8. The granite-countered island and accompanying bar stools add flexibility and dining options for guests. A gas grill is located just outside the kitchen, and should you like to dine al fresco, an umbrella table for 4 is in the courtyard under twinkle lights. The perfect end to a perfect day.

The home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 adults plus 4 guests (bunks: children) comfortably.

The luxurious Downstairs Master Suite has a King bed, and Master bath with a steam shower and two separate sink areas. A cushioned window seat in the Master Bath provides an extra space to relax. A large walk-in closet connects the bedroom and the bath. The room has a large screen TV just above the gas fireplace--the perfect place to unwind and prepare for a good night's sleep.

Th Upstairs Guest Room has a Queen bed, large closet and en-suite bathroom with shower.

Upstairs Guest Room #2 has 2 bunk beds (One bed could sleep 2 children) and bathroom with bathtub/shower combo. For extra seating, a love seat flanks the window overlooking the courtyard below.

Just far enough from the Village to provide peace and quiet, the house is still within walking distance to the ever-popular RT's market. Named for Robert Thornton Wilson (the original founder of Palmetto Bluff) RT's has a "town square" like feeling, where guests and residents alike gather to purchase sundries at the various boutiques, whimsical gifts and other "necessities" like fine wines. The beloved staff at RT's work tirelessly to make family/friend functions meet the expectations of their customers. It is adjacent to the Wilson Lawn & Racquet Club offering tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, croquet and even basket ball courts.

Palmetto Bluff is vast -- located on over 24,000 acres that include an expansive nature preserve. Winding around and through all of the luscious resort are miles of walking and biking trails. Bicycling at the Bluff is a favorite pastime for guests and residents and bike rental is easy from either Outside Palmetto Bluff (the community adventure outfitters) or from the Bike Barn/Sports Addiction.

As stated above, the Cottage is a short walk or bike ride to the historic Wilson Village. There guests can wander among the ruins of the historic "Wilson Mansion" and, through an experiential placard, learn about the grand home that once graced the very special lawn in the village.

Visitors can dine in Wilson Village as well. For casual dining, Buffalo's is the place. Here guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. It doesn't get more Southern than Buffalo's. Or, across the green from Buffalo's coffee and pastries are served fresh each morning at Buzz. Also casual dining is available behind the Montage Hotel at Fore & Aft on the inland waterway and The Canteen in Moreland Village.

For more formal dining guests can take advantage of the The Canoe Club Restaurant, The River House Restaurant and Hush Speakeasy downstairs or at The Octagon in the Montage Resort Hotel itself.
