This place is absolutely magical! Secluded enough to enjoy nature, but close to town which was AMMMMAZING! The outdoor shower was such a peaceful experience, the property was clean and we even had a sweet kitty cat that we got to love on while there. Myself and my 2 besties kept talking about how perfect the property was and how we looked forward to bringing other friends and family here. Host was spot on with communication, checking/out instructions were clear and the even ledr us fresh flowers to enjoy
We had a great time relaxing in Paul's Barn. There was plenty to do on site with the basketball/pickleball court and Cypress Creek to keep us entertained and uplugged just a super short trek into town for great meals and live entertainment. It was an ideal venue for a relaxing weekend getaway. The property is really unique and full of character. Great retreat!
The trip was really good and the swimming hole was amazing the only things were that it wasn’t so clean. we found mouse poop and ants in the beds a ton of ants in the loft and it just didn’t feel clean. Also they didn’t mention in their post that the shower was an outside shower which caught us by surprise a bit. The owners only really spoke to us as we were leaving and we barely saw them around even though the barn we stayed in was right next door to their house. When we had questions or things we might of needed no one was around to ask. The stay was beautiful and we had a great time swimming and going to the town square but the cleanliness and owners are the only things that could have made our trip much better.
Great cabin with lots of stuff to do on-site. Very close to downtown. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again. Also, Wendy (host) was great!
We had a girls trip and it was perfect for all 3 of us. Place was fantastic and Wendy was incredibly nice and made sure we had all we needed as well as communicating very well!
Great place! Glamping is the perfect description. Our goal was to spend as much time outside and keep the kids off of screen and this property is perfect. Saul came out and greeted us on the first day and made sure we were settled. We requested fishing poles and s’more holders and he went above and beyond to provide. Do not be afraid of the outdoor shower, it was a great experience. Even for my wife who swore she would never go camping. Saul and this property changed her mind!
Perfect spot for a glamping experience. So much for entire family to do. Host was very kind and accommodating. Reading reviews was helpful for expectations. Would definitely go back.
Great location with everything that we needed that included overlooking big open space down to Cypress Creek, fire pit, BBQ. Converted barn is eclectically crafted and quite unusual…which we loved. Very close to Wimberley Square for great shopping, drinking, and restaurants. Close by (0.5 mile north is Wimberley National Mini-Golf ;very fun), Horseback Adventures of Central Texas (10 mins)…one of the best quality rides in the hill country I have ever done with incredibly athleletic and responsive horses that were raised on policross (!). Great area for road biking around too. This was a perfect retried for my adult sons and me.
We enjoyed everything about this property. My kids were in heaven and have already asked when we can go back. Great communication from Wendy. Amazing location. So many amenities for entertaining 3 kids. We stayed in July and never felt hot. Kitchen had everything we needed. Truly a little slice of heaven. Thank you Wendy for sharing this spot! Can't say enough good things.
Spent a week on the property The property was exactly as listed! We did share the creek with the neighbors one morning but beds were comfortable, air unit and fans kept the barn cool and we loved the outdoor shower.
Our second visit to Paul’s Barn and it gets better each time! TONS of activities for kids to occupy their time. Most popular this trip the ring it game, zip line, and foosball! Best private water feature in Wimberley! Owners are probably the most friendly we have ever had and can not wait to book our next visit!
Our family enjoyed our relaxed weekend in Wimberly, we swam and sat outside and enjoyed the quiet. We had everything we needed, and our boys loved all the toys and sports to keep them busy! Wendy was a great host and was available for any questions we had. My boys asked when we could come back!
Upon arrival we were concerned that we might not get the comforts we were desiring. Our fears were quickly overcome and the place far exceeded our desires for a fantastic family get away for four. Our two boys(8&11) were very sad to leave and are already asking when we can return. Loved the place!!!
We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for our basketball loving kiddos who can shoot hoops all day and play in the creek forever! They loved the rope swings, floats and kayaks and I loved the many porches and patios and swings for adults. The kids could entertain themselves and adults could relax. Only 1 mile from town so everything was close by. The kitchen had enough to cook on that we could make full meals. We'd love to go back! It was perfect for our active kiddos.
I took my 2 teens to Wimberley for a getaway weekend. This open-air cabin was just what the Dr. ordered! My son did the rope swings so much he has blisters all over his palms, but not one complaint from him, he had an absolute blast. The kitchenette was a nice, simple size. Consider it like glamping with the best scenery you could imagine. We definitely want to come back next year. Deserves all 5 stars!
