Scandalous misrepresenation

On arrival, no light in shower room and bedroom. Switch missing, just wires. Ancient plastic chairs broke when sat on. Much equipment unusable because had English plugs. Oven disgusting with pan full of old oil stored in it, no cleaning materials or toilet roll. Owner uncontactable just before and on arrival. 50euros cleaning fee fraudulent. Shockingly overpriced for badly neglected accommodation.

Comfortabel en compleet huis, prachtige ligging

Een comfortabel huis waarin geen 'nee' te koop is. Alles is in veelvoud aanwezig.

About the host

I was born in Alsace and used to live at the Gite des Cerisiers in Neuve-Eglise before moving to England, where I now live with my family.

Why they chose this property

This village holds a special place in my heart and I still view it as home. I cherish all the memories we created over the years from all the activities on offer. In the Summer months there is always a festival of some sort on offer and I love hiking and mountain biking and there are plenty of trails to try out nearby.

What makes this property unique

My favourite thing about the house is the deck where we can dine al fresco with beautiful Mountain Views while taking in some delightful sun rays and sampling a local wine from one of the many vineyards in the area or one of the fruity liqueurs that I love to mix with a sparkling Cremant d’Alsace from a local distillery. The “liqueur de violette” is a winner for me.
