The Grand Mayan 1 or 2 bedroom suite PUERTO PEÑASCO
RATES SHOWN ARE FOR THE ONE BEDROOM. THE TWO BEDROOM RENTS FOR 650/NIGHT.
This resort has it all! Golf (a Nicklaus Design), tennis, paddle boarding, fishing, multiple heated pools and hot tubs plus a Lazy River all in a beautiful setting bordered by the Sea of Cortez and the Sonoran Desert. It is probably best as a spring/summer vacation.
We were there in early November and the Lazy River was pretty cold. However, the hot tub pools were delightful! The extreme tides make for the greatest shelling I have ever experienced. There is also a very cool excursion to Bird Island that is a must.
Did I mention the Brio Spa, restaurants, bars and fire pits? And of course, there is the beach - three miles of it!! This is a resort that you could actually drive to; however, if you prefer, there are shuttle services available from Tucson or Phoenix.
The Grand Mayan Master Suite is a two bedroom unit with an occupancy max of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids under 12). The bedrooms each have a king bed and the in the living area make into additional beds. There are two baths and a jacuzzi. Outside on the terrace is a private plunge pool for cooling off after a busy day at the beach - or whatever. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining comfortably seats 4.
If you need your TV fix, there are three - one in each bedroom and a third in the living area.
