The location is nice. Feels secluded , kids loved hiking along the creek up into the mountain valley. Cabin was clean and warm. The only complaint from us is that the owner needs to take the code off of the TV. It was very annoying to have to enter it all the time, and not being able to use our own streaming apps. Would definitely stay again but would bring my own television, lol
House very well stocked with just about everything you needed, very clean ,only down falls were since there is a fire place (and we do understand why, the place had a bad smoke smell. The only thing that will keep us from going back is the road it 💯 sucked , I understand it has nothing to do with the cabin , but when you run back and forth as much as we did he got old fast..
Very beautiful area, no cell coverage but WiFi works fine (use the cabin's WiFi, not the rental agency's). Dining table and countertops were not wiped off (crumbs), but otherwise everything was clean. The sofas look like they've had many years of use and are quite dingy. It's a bit dark inside but not overly so. There was a sewer smell outside that was quite unpleasant (really depended on the direction of the wind). I am perhaps nitpicking, since I do feel that I got my money's worth on renting this cabin and would still recommend.
My wife have a horrible experience whit one of the neighbors by the lake she was walking around neighbor started yelling on her she no suppose to be walking around the lake
But other than that everything was perfect
Nice cabin thanks
After driving for 5 and half hours we arrived at the beautiful cabin in the woods and we looked forward to a great 4 days. After exploring we started unloading and went into the bedroom. That is where we found rodent feces on the bed on the floor, and a chair. I then took the clothes out of the closet and my wife moved the trash can that had purposely been placed on top of hole in the floor the rodents were using to gain entry . We called reservations unlimited they told us they did not have anyone to take care of these matters so we should come back to the office and look at other properties. None of the properties matched the Cabin or the setting we had reserved but they took us to a room in town that was worse than an old motel 6. They said come back in the morning and we will find you something better. Next morning we went and they said they were cleaning a property that they texted us about later the night before. It looked nice so we agreed. They said they would call us when it was ready. About 12:40pm they called and said there was another problem, the property had a foul odor like something died in the wall and there were yellow jackets at the cabin. We had a meal at Texas Reds and a bug crawled across my wife's plate, so we told them we were done and we were going home. They said they were going to refund everything but the first night, but we haven't seen that yet . So overall a very bad experience and it still cost us over 300 dollars to stay in a very bad place. VRBO, Red River, and Reservations unlimited are off our list.
Lovely, fun getaway. Great firepit by the creek. Pleasant deck. Comfy little cabin.

Not a good road for Harleys.
We had an absolutely amazing time. Cabin was very rustic and beautifully located. The only difficulties we had was that the road was not paved and was not bike friendly at all. It was treacherous for our Harleys. We decided to leave em in town and they were safe.
Everything was as described on the listing ! Peaceful place to stay !
