About this property

Beautifully maintained, spacious, cabin located in Lakes of the North. Gives the feeling of being out in the wilderness, but is still close enough to everything you could want and need. This is the perfect cabin for your getaway any time of year. The cabin is close to snowmobile/ORV trails, ski hills, golf courses, casinos, water park, fall color loops, fishing, biking, hiking, restaurants, shopping, wineries, breweries, and bars (25 mins to Boyne Mountain/Shanty Creek/Treetops/Gaylord, 30 mins to Bellaire, 35 mins to Petoskey/Boyne City, 40 mins to Grayling, 50 mins to Charlevoix, 1 hour to Traverse City, 1.25 to Mackinaw City). This home has a large open area on the main floor (kitchen, dining, sitting, and living room with woodstove) - great for relaxing with friends and family. Five bedrooms (2 upstairs, 1 main floor, 2 basement) and 2 bathrooms (1 upstairs, 1 main floor). There is community clubhouse which is less than a mile away (pool, hot tub). Please see the last photo of our listing for facility rates. You will pay the facility directly. In addition, Lake Harold is only a half mile away (playground, basketball/volleyball courts, canoe/paddleboat/kayak/paddleboard rental available. No motor boats.). Great family cabin

Absolutely beautiful cabin. There was plenty of room for my big family to stretch out and not be on top.of each other. Having a full kitchen was definitely a plus. The second bathroom came in handy to. It was centrally located to all the places we wanted to go. Great communication with the owner. I would definitely stay here again.

Family snow fun

The property was actually nicer in person than in the pictures. That rarely happens. Sleeps 12 plus easily and the open concept was great for family time. The location was great. Near many things, but still secluded. The host was great and helped us out with questions. I would recommend this property for family fun.

Since we bought this place, we have redone every single room with our own blood, sweat, and tears. We take pride in our “getaway”. And now, we are sharing our “home away from home” with you.

Why they chose this property

We had been coming up to the Lakes of the North for a few years before that, staying with friends… we loved it so much, we got a place of our own.

What makes this property unique

In the winter, we enjoy skiing and snowmobiling, cozying up by the fire with a good book, playing board games and putting together puzzles with friends and family.

In the summer and fall, we like to hang out at the beach (Lake Harold), fish, bike, hike, and hit the ORV trails.

All times of the year, we enjoy exploring the little towns around us – stumbling upon a great restaurant/brewery/winery or shop, taking in the beauty of the wilderness around us… and of course, winning (not losing) at one of the area casinos. And when we want to stay close to home, we enjoy using the community clubhouse (pool).
