A nightmare

No elevator. Deck being torn off because of the poor condition. Plywood and boards nailed to the sliders so no access or view of the ocean. Construction workers on the deck from 7 AM every day. Parking lot filled with dumpsters and construction vehicles making it impossible to get in and out. The owners were aware of all of this in advance but rented to us anyway without ever making us aware.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the room wasn’t clean and no linens, when the cleaners came we were only left with only a couple rolls of toilet paper, 2 towels a piece so they had to all be washed 3 times before the end of the week, not enough trash bags, the neighbors upstairs had around 6 toddler aged kids staying above us with what I believe was 13 people in one room seemed very overcrowded. Very noisy. The tv in the room with 2 beds doesn’t work. The room needs a deep cleaning. The fridge was dirty tooth paste on the walls sand and dust in every corner. If the room would’ve been clean when we arrived after I drove 9 hours and we were left with enough to get through the week I would’ve enjoyed it more.

The condo is decorated in cute beach theme. Beds were comfortable as were the sofas. Good eating area and kitchen had plenty of dishes , glasses, pans.On the ocean with pretty view.However, there was almost no internet during the week and even cell signals kept dropping. Building must be in dead zone. Really had negative impact on our vaca. Be prepared to bring everything. Not even salt and pepper supplied. One small TP in each bath. 1 dishwasher tab. No voucher for beach rentals so had to buy chairs. Kitchen and bath cabinets in very sad shape. 1 st night tried to open flatware drawer and it fell out. Hubby had to go to hardware store for necessary parts. Opening vertical blinds each day and they all fell off. Had to recipe daily. Grab bar in M Bath rusted out. Kitchen floor should have been washed not just vacuumed. Just won’t be returning

Great place for a beach vacation

Our family of six stayed in this condo the week of July 16-July 23. The location was great, situated between the center of Surfside Beach and Garden City, you are less than 15 minutes to local restaurants, parasailing, arcade, etc.. The property is also less than a block from 10 Avenue South, which provides direct access to Highway 17, the primary road in the area. The condo is oceanfront and is situated so that it allows for long views down the beach and a very short walk from the stairs/elevator to the actual beach itself. The room sizes are nice and we found the layout to work well for our family. The check in process was very smooth and we found the everything to be tidy and as expected. The only challenge we had was parking, you are provided one space in the parking lot out front and one under the building. I suggest taking only one vehicle, or at least be sure one of them is smaller. It can be a tight fit getting a larger vehicle in the covered space. With that being said, this was a minor point when considering all the pluses for this property. We would definitely stay here again and suggest you consider it.

Great Condo--sad to leave it!

We've stayed in this building before but not in several years and not in this particular unit. First thing I noticed was the new outside stairs and new oceanfront balconies--excellent! The one key was kept in a lockbox outside the door--wish there had been more than one or that it was a keypad lock, cause managing the key and cover of the lockbox was a bit cumbersome when hands are full of beach gear. The building is small but with a nice pool, excellent views, and great location. A couple of units are occupied year-round by residents, so there are few renters; those we met were very nice. We liked storing our chairs under the building and are always impressed they're left alone. The condo itself was very clean and well-appointed, especially in the kitchen, with plenty of storage space. TV's were in good condition, but without my husband there, I probably couldn't have figured them out. Two wishes: that the bedrooms had ceiling fans (stuffy) and that the ice maker didn't make loud popping sounds every couple of hours. However, I was grateful for an ice maker at all, so no worries. Check in and check out process was easy and price was reasonable. Already wishing to return!
