Charming Desert Casita

This bright and comfortable casita is a cozy retreat; it is appointed with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. The house has it's own entrance with a patio to catch the Sonoran sunsets. There is a bright, full kitchen with an eat-in bar area and beautiful marble countertops. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and it's own tv. Other features include a pullout sofa, full-size washer and dryer, wireless internet, Direct TV, Keurig, and a dedicated parking spot.

This casita is located right across from the McDowell Preserve, which is over 30,000 acres and encompasses hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails.

The McDowell Sonoran Preserve really gives the feeling of seclusion, however you are actually less than ten miles away from four beautiful public golf courses, with many great dining and shopping options. Some of the local highlights include Westworld, the home of the famous Barrett Jackson car auction (15 miles), The Waste Management Open (14 miles), Keirland Commons outdoor shopping area (15 miles), and the idyllic Carefree and Cave Creek western-themed town with great shopping (15 miles).

The casita is very nice and everything is in great condition. Location right next to McDowell Preserve is in a quiet area but close to Scottsdale and Cave Creek. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. We loved this stay!

When i read the reviews i had to stay here and they were all correct about what a beautiful place to stay. Great communication and was easy to get to work everyday from this remote location.

Attractive and comfortable desert casita

Great location near hiking and Scottsdale Preserve. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Bonus that the wildflowers were in bloom while we were there!

Wonderful Casita

This was our second stay at this property, both long term stays (3-4weeks). Everything about our stay was great. The casita is just like it is shown online. It is very clean and well supplied. The patio area is very nice. The location is great as it is a quiet area yet close to a lot of activities. Communication with the hosts was very good. I would recommend this property highly.

Great little place!

Great for short or long term for 1 or 2 people. It was easy to settle in and make it feel like home. If you're a mountain biker the location is an 11. Trails start right across the street. McDowell Mtn Park is 10-15 mins on isolated dirt roads/paths. I'll be staying here again if it's available.

The casita was as listed to the letter. What we also found was a perfectly located, immaculate and very thoughtfully appointed home away from home. Wonderful casita with fantastic views

The Charming Desert Casita is exactly that! The Casita has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Walkers, hikers, bikers, birders and all outdoor oriented people will love the location directly across from the Scottsdale Preserve. The grounds of the Casita are beautiful and you'll find everything you need in the sparkling interior. The hosts provide a binder with info about the entire Phoenix area, as well as ideas about local outings and places to eat. There is also a lovely and private patio. Check in was easy and the hosts were great. I hope to stay there again next time I'm in Phoenix.

Everything you need for a 2-person get-away!

Kristen’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay. Checking in and out were easy. Location was perfect for activities in the desert. The house was incredibly clean and had everything we needed (we particularly valued the high-quality items throughout the house, such as towels, kitchen ware, etc., versus other homes we’ve stayed at). We enjoyed our too short visit to this perfectly appointed vacation home. Exactly as described. Immaculately clean, modernly decorated, well-stocked kitchen and bath, comfy, cozy bed, tv that even we seniors could manage to operate. We appreciated Kristen's attention to detail. Very close to a Brown's Ranch where we enjoyed daily walks/hikes. Had a great dinner at Tonto Bar & Grill; very busy, make reservations. Quiet, rural area within an easy drive of Scottsdale.

Really Sweet Place for One

Very clean, well-appointed, and quiet Casita in a nice neighborhood, across from the Preserve. Was a convenient location for a week of mountain biking in the area, and especially for access to the Preserve and Mountain Park. Enjoyed my communications with the responsive on-site owners. I would return without question. Note: the marble countertops require extra care, as they are more delicate than granite tops.

This past March we had the pleasure of staying the month at this wonderful casita. When renting with VRBO, our prime concerns are cleanliness, convenience, and comfort. This casita surpasses them all in each category. Dale and Kristen were always concerned with our comfort and the casita was immaculate, with modern conveniences and a wonderful patio courtyard which we utilized daily. The location was in a horse ranch area with walking trails within minutes. The sunsets were glorious most nights and the cool evening air made outside sitting heavenly. We definitely hope to return. We rate this place as a 15 on a scale of 1-10.
