Your host:
Laurence and Jean de Valbray, who have lived in Cerisé since 1983, restored their 18th-century Logis, where their family (five children) has grown year after year. They then restored the adjoining 17th-century farmhouse, which they rent out year-round. The barn, now the gîte "La Grange de Cerisé," was in poor condition... but there was no question of abandoning these old stones! Passionate about architectural heritage, Jean carries out all this work by surrounding himself with skilled regional craftsmen. They choose to entrust the maintenance to integration associations to provide work for those who may be facing employment challenges. They enjoy sharing with their guests the region's best tips: gastronomy and delicious local products, cultural activities, walks, and spiritual tourism, particularly the birthplace of St. Thérèse and the life stories of Louis and Zélie Martin, which Laurence knows by heart! Jean, a rider in his spare time, will allow you to share the meadow of his two horses if you come for a horseback ride in Orne!
