Casa 18Th Place is all about Location, Location, Location. What an amazing location Pilsen is! Welcome to Chicago and our Pilsen 2 bedroom / 1 bath newly renovated home with your own private entrance. This home was designed with an open floor plan and so many modern touches.

The house is walking distance to many of our favorite restaurants such as 5 Rabanitos, La Luna, La Vaca, Los Camales, S.K.Y, Monnie Burke's just to name a few. Maybe you are catching a band a Thalia Hall, concert or sporting event at United Center, conference at McCormick Place, we are very close to so much. Our cozy place is literally 3.2 miles from Downtown Chicago, access to South Loop and West Loop and many other neighborhoods.

This house has been renovated from top to bottom with all the desired modern touches and amenities.

Between every booking the house will be professionally cleaned and each guest will be supplied with fresh towels and linens.

WE DO ACCEPT SAME DAY BOOKING IF MADE BEFORE 8AM CST ON CHECK IN DAY.

**There is to be no more than 5 people in apartment at any given time.

The street that the property is on does require a permit. You can park on the two adjacent streets to the apartment and we usually never have an issue locating a parking spot.

We did not use the laundry. The location was great. Only 2 1/2 blocks to the pink "l" line, so very convenient. There is a small convenience store only a couple of blocks away and a liquor store within walking distance. The apartment is kind of small, but the location outweighs the size of the apartment. It was clean and well taken care of. We were happy with it.

Wonderful stay!

Place was cozy with many daily conveniences available (laundry, stove, full size fridge). Location was in the heart of some amazing food and close to the metro making travel around the city easy! Would certainly stay here again.

The listing is accurate, and we enjoyed our stay! One bonus is the shower pressure was great (not always the case!) in addition to everything everyone else has mentioned. We would stay here again!

Weekend Trip

Gabriel's property was great, very clean, great neighborhood and location. A block from the bus stop so getting around the city was easy. We enjoyed our weekend in Chicago. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay here! The apartment was cozy and comfortable, easy street parking (we never had trouble finding a spot), and only ~5 min walk to a pink line station. Gabriel and Tina were very fast to respond to messages and provide anything we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Chicago.

Birthday weekend in Chicago

Place was great, was small but didn’t feel like it for just two guest. Weekend street food was great. Very quiet neighborhood and host where great even tho they where right upstairs we could barely hear them. Felt safe to just walk around.

Nice place

It was a nice place to rent for the weekend, the only thing i dodnt like was not having anywhere to park at night. But it was a nice location not far at all from downtown. The price to reant it was reasonable too

Ladies Getaway

Three of us ladies had a getaway weekend to Chicago. This was the perfect place to stay for the three of us and had all of the amenities that were needed for our stay. It was a short walk to the train to bring us downtown. We did not need to use our vehicle the entire time we were here (except to get groceries the first night, but very short drive to Target). The owners were great and provided great recommendations for the area. They were also great with communication and responding to messages. When coming to Chicago, I would definitely recommend staying here! We will for sure re-book this VRBO the next time we want to visit Chicago!

Nice place outside of Downtown area

I'm happy about the location of this property, just a short walk to the Pink line station going to downtown. Neighborhood is safe, quiet, parking is available and restaurants within walking distance. Uber is a bit of a problem bec the GPS tells them to go to 18th STREET instead of 18th pl so you just have to tell the driver that. Communication with Gabriel is great. Heating was nice. The bed foam/mattress in one of the rooms is not that comfortable, it's worn out I think that's why it's not an even surface. We stayed for 4 nights and it's a great option if you want to stay outside of downtown area.

Great location, small

We had a really wonderful long weekend in Chicago, and this VRBO served as our home base. The location is fantastic. Very close to two train stations and in a vibrant and safe neighborhood. And less than half an hour to downtown, walking and waiting for the train included. We loved all the food options nearby and seeing the murals around. The Mexican Art Museum is also a must see and it's free! We really enjoyed the location. In terms of the home itself, for three longtime best friends the close quarters isn't much of a problem. I do think it would be a squeeze to have any more than three people in the space though. Mostly just since there isn't a ton of seating. Other than that, it was cozy and served our purposes of sleeping and hanging out between activities. The only other thing was we woke up a few times in the morning due to footsteps upstairs. Wasn't really a huge deal since we had to get up anyway. Overall, we had a great stay and the hosts were easy to communicate with. Would recommend!

The Neighborhood!!!

As a middle aged woman, I brought my nieces to Chicago to explore for the first time. I chose this location due to its proximity to the train, but now realize it is the BEST NEIGHBORHOOD!!!! It is a generational neighborhood, all the properties and businesses are owned by those who have lived here for generations. Authentic. And I felt so safe. Terrific restaurants nearby as well as the bucket-list venue, Thalia Hall. The bus stop is super close, and the train just 2 blocks. The unit was small but perfect for us. It was stocked nicely with coffee and a fridge that has filtered water, and this is great for weary travelers arriving late. Entry is seamless. I want to address some of the negative things I have read I the reviews: 1) The A/C will freeze you out. 2) There was no problem with noise from above, save a few footsteps here and there. 3) the toilet paper is only 1 ply which seems cheap but also, we chose this unit for affordability so... 4) the mattresses. Well, they are great for one person. Two people in the bed and there is a deep well in the middle. Someone is either on a high side or a low side. I think the owners may need to sleep in the beds now after some time has passed since they had good reviews on the mattresses. It would have been a perfect 5 star stay but the patio advertised did not have patio furniture to sit on. There was furniture out there but it was all covered up. Overall: this stay was fantastic. Very hospitable. Would absolutely stay again.

Great place at a fair price with great attentive hosts. Great communication. Easy check in/out. Wonderful location with a ton of culture, just a very beautiful neighborhood. Cozy!

We stayed for three nights and it had all we needed. Comfy beds, tons of bath towels and a great iron! We slept very well even through the fun fireworks on 4th of July. The space felt very cozy, and dare I say, quiet! It was clean and superseded all of our expectations. The neighborhood was also nice, walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

She is born and raised in the amazing neighborhood Pilsen this is where we have chose to plant our flag as a family. Pilsen is filled with so much culture from arts, music and amazing food. In the summer you can definitely catch us at the many music and food fest that Pilsen and surrounding neighborhoods have. You can catch us at the park playing with our daughter eating an “Elote” (Corn on stick) or “Paleta” (Mexican Popsicle) just enjoying the Chicago weather.

We became homeowners in 2018 and we now are excited to share what we have built with our guests. When investing In Pilsen the buildings are old need allot of work, but have amazing character. We have spent the last year making our property perfect while preserving the character. We love to travel so we understand how important room accommodations are. So we hope to make you as comfortable as possible on your visit to Pilsen and Chicago. We love help so if there is anything you need please don’t hesitate to ask.
