Nice Cabin

Clean cabin, comfortable beds, nice amenities (hot tub, pool table, outdoor rocking chairs/ swing). Bring your own water though- cabin water smelled and tasted bad.

Comfortable but needs major updating

Great location but the place is in need of new shades on windows, new carpet in bedrooms, updated washer and dryer.

Great cabin, wonderful stay

Although it was a mini vacation, me and my family had a blast. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as the peace and quite since the cabin is secluded. There was plenty of room for all of us. We didn't see any bears, but we did get rain during our stay, it was more peaceful and laid back which made us connect with nature more. Definitely plan on bringing my family back for another stay.

Cabin

The cabin was beautiful but….. The toilet was overflowing, so we had to clean that up. No WiFi and no cell service. There was no water. There was a few days we could not bathe. When we left this morning there was no water.

Enjoyable

This cabin is pretty secluded. It’s three floors and has three beds. We didn’t realize it didn’t have WiFi until we arrived but that was just fine! We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. Would stay here again!

Absolutely LOVED IT

Everything was so inviting and pleasant, wanted to surprise my wife for our 10 yr anniversary… she was speechless, very spacious, extremely homely and so relaxing. We will definitely be booking again

Pretty nice

Overall, great stay and the hot tub was working and everything. Only thing I wish I looked into more was to see if they had wifi. I only assumed it would but there was no internet at all so it kind of sucked not being able to have it.

Summer 2023

The cabin was nice and as described. The only drawback was the steepness of the driveway and the parking area was very tight with 2 cars

Wonderful getaway

Easy process. Great communication. Bathroom/shower essentials provided. Kitchen well equipped. Only downside was the hot tub was not clean or usuable. Had green algae growing with brown scum on top.

Renter beware!

No running water when we arrived. No phone signal and or WiFi. WiFi would have helped make a phone call to request assistance. I was prepared for bears and there was one that came by, but not the scorpions in the home. Lights need replaced as well as the two queen mattress. Also the entrance to the drive need to be more pronounced on the website. Passed it three times before we notice the sign.

The cabin was perfect for our family but there are clearly some maintenance that needs to be done on the cabin. For example, the refrigerator did not keep food very cold and the freezer didn't freeze. We put a couple water bottles in the freezer the first day and after 7 days they were still not frozen. We even turned both the frig and freezer to the coldest setting.

December stay

What disappointed me the most from our stay here is that the rental not only does not provide internet, but the cabin is located in an area with zero reception; you cannot even make a phone call from the cabin. This issue disrupted all our plans, since we couldn’t communicate and coordinate our planned activities with the rest of our family that was staying in another cabin a few miles away. Also, this situation made it very difficult to make reservations at restaurants and check for things to do outside of the main attractions from the Gatlinburg/Pidgeon forge area. Other smaller things were that some of the silverware and plates were dirty, the ceiling fan in the living room was full of dust and there were not trash bags for the trash can in the kitchen which it has always been provided during my previous visits to other cabins.

Great size/location, needs some love

Pros: Size was perfect. The location was beautiful. No mountain view, but a lovely neighborhood away from the chaos of the tourist areas. I loved driving back in the evening to our relaxing place. Also: good check-in/out procedures. Cons: For the price, I wanted a little better. There is a "basement smell" throughout the house that was disappointing to walk into. We had to rewash even our clean clothes when we got home to get the smell out. Perhaps a dehumidifier would help? The bathrooms need to be updated. There is obviously very hard water that has stained the toilets and showers (freaked the kids out). Summary: I'm really conflicted. For a lower price, I'd consider this a hidden gem! As it is, it is fine with some definite pros and cons.

Recent stay

The cabin was in a nice and secluded location. The large porch with rocking chairs was relaxing. The cabin itself was not very clean. There were mouse droppings in a lot of the kitchen drawers and corners of bathrooms. Seeing them in the utensil drawer was pretty disgusting. The hot tub was not clean at all. We couldn’t even use it. Not sure when the last time it had been maintained or cleaned. There was a ring all around the water line of the hot tub that was brownish in color and particles floating in the water. This was very disappointing because it was one of the main amenities we searched for in a cabin. The running water had a horrible odor and rust color to it when showering or brushing teeth. Even after letting the water run for awhile it didn’t help. Overall we were pretty disappointed.

Disappointing spring break

I booked this cabin based on a recommendation I received. I purposely booked this specific cabin because while it had no internet so that we could all disconnect from the real world it did have a pool table, game room arcade. Upon arrival there was no arcade game and my only child was extremely upset. We told him he could have some time in the hot tub. As soon as we get in there is a disgusting green film covering our bodies. I was not able to call the help desk as our service was super spotty so I emailed and text. I got a text back saying they were so sorry and sending someone over to fix the issues which never happened so we did not get to use the hot tub at all!! not a single email response. I never received so much as an explanation or apology. This was a horrible first time experience. I will not be booking with Vacasa again

The house is awesome. 3 stars due to missing amenities.

The house and furnishings were clean and comfortable. We had a bear visit multiple times so beware when exiting or coming back to cabin. It is still afraid of humans, which is good and will run off if enough noise is made. Satellite tv in bedrooms did not work. Tree branches probably need to be trimmed around the dishes. 3 Pool balls were missing. There is no community pool. The property the pool is on is individually owned and currently for sale. No staff on site and pool was very dirty. Does not look like it has been in service all summer. However, river tubing is down the road so not a big deal to us. House is in a great location & Pigeon Forge very easy to get to. The driveway is, well, kind of a nightmare. Would hold 4 vehicles like described but you would not be able to get back out. It is a very steep drive way. We had 2 vehicles, a SUV and truck and managed a way to turn around and drive out. Would not recommend parking 4. Overall, the house and porch was awesome, secluded & hot tub worked fine. If you can deal with the driveway then the other items I mention are easily fixed by management or have a suitable alternative. Property management for booking, emails, calls and questions I give 5 stars. I had timely responses and they were very helpful and friendly. We had an awesome time and will return!
