Ataraxia at Saravari Beach is a renovated stone cottage, a short walk (500m) from Saravari Beach. The house has been fully renovated and furnished to the highest quality in traditional style by excellent local stonemasons and carpenters. It marries traditional style with all modern comforts.
At the front of the house is a walled garden enclosing a private parking place. While at the rear is a spacious, shaded, quiet, very private courtyard for cooking, dining, sun bathing, relaxing.
Inside the kitchen is equipped with a large fridge-freezer, a small hob, a washing machine, iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine, filter coffee maker and kettle. It is fully equipped with plates, dishes and cutlery, and cooking utensils for six persons. We provide homemade jams, fruits and vegetables from the garden when available, all basic foodstuffs such as salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, herbs, tea, sugar as well as a few local specialities for you to try.
The house has two spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. The bedrooms are both separated from the living area by a small walk-through wardrobe, with double doors. The traditional wooden beds were hand made by local craftsmen. The mattresses are five-star comfort and quality, with feather pillows and duvets from Bavaria. The bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
Saravari Beach is one of the best of the many beaches to be found on Limnos. It is in northeastern Limnos between the two major archaeological sites of Ifaestos and Kaveiria, near to the village of Kontopouli.
Five minutes' walk from the house, on the beach, is the friendly taverna 'Saravar' providing some of the best food served on the island. They have sun beds, and a quiet family atmosphere. We will gladly help you discover the many other fine beaches and excellent tavernas of Limnos during your stay.
