This property places you in the very heart of white sand beaches St. Petersburg is famous for. It is located in Treasure Island, a short walk to the lovely sugary sand and inner coastal waters of the incomparable Sunset Beach!
This is a charming bungalow on Treasure Island, a one mile barrier island only one block wide. Amazing natural light pervades throughout this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. You enter this 1400 plus square foot home through the lovely and very large covered front porch this house features - spacious enough for family gatherings and evening meals enjoying the wonderful outdoors. It features cathedral ceilings and skylights that allow tons of natural light in the main living areas, three large bedrooms (master bedroom with direct access to the porch), and two full bathrooms.
With an average of some 361 days of sunshine each year, and a Guinness World Record for logging the most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days), it is nicknamed "The Sunshine City". Due to its good weather and low cost of living, the city has long been a popular retirement destination, although in recent years the population has moved in a much more youthful direction. American Style magazine ranked St. Petersburg its top mid-size city in 2011, citing its Vibrant Arts Scene.

Great beachy location

Location, roominess, communications with host were excellent, and beds were very comfortable. Furnishings throughout , kitchen supplies and linens were “tired” and need replacing.

Great location, good house

This is 5 stars for the price Location to Caddy’s and Katiki are great Walk 1/4 mile and there’s a trolley stop that takes you south and north Tons of beach stuff. Straps in some chairs broke when we sat down. Beach buggy perfect. Tons of towels. 2 umbrellas… didn’t try 2 coolers, 1 on wheels. Outdoor shower for the sand Place was spotless, could of eaten off the floor Kitchen not well stocked. Need to buy salt, pepper, oil, foil, Syrian wrap, ice, dishwasher pods, trash bags. They have starters of pods and bags and toilet paper. We ate out 90% of the time. Never used the grill. Furniture was comfortable TV had everything! … Christmas football week so that was a bonus. Toilet started leaking on the floor, thankfully we were home and could turn off the water. They came and fixed in an hour! You have full access to the garage. Fits 1 car. Drive will fit another. Outside porch was a nice spot. Good lighting. Cushions for the chairs need replacing. Neighborhood is quiet and nice to walk around. Plenty of blankets. Master bed needs a new mattress. We remade and put our head at the foot … it worked well. Master ceiling fan makes a racket….. 1 box fan functioned…. so it worked out. Other bedrooms fan/beds good Back bedrooms and hall bath smells of mildew. Opening windows help. Hall bath has hot air switch by shower, bonus. It’s not a fancy house but had everything we needed for a great vacation.

A better than average stay-great location

Pre stay communication was prompt and friendly. Check in was perfect. Property was very clean. There was a starter pack of trash bags, dishwasher pods, dish soap, a roll of paper towels and a few laundry pods. I had to buy Windex to clean the glass tabletops and the countertops. Laundry is on main level. Plenty of TP, towels, extra sheets - also three box fans. There is a nice size gas grill on the front porch which we put to use. All-in-all, very satisfied with the house itself. You are a 3 minute walk to the closest public beach access. Caddy's and Ka Tiki are right there. 7 Eleven, Taco Bus and Sea Dog Brewing are easily walkable. There are two public beach accesses that have parking on Sunset Beach (that I know of - may be more) with boardwalks over the sea oats. One has public restrooms and a place to shower sand off. They are south a bit. Might be helpful if you are taking quite a bit of beach gear or coolers. Just a couple things to mention. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. There are skylights, one of which is in the master bedroom. Once the sun comes up there will be no way to darken the room. The parking is tight. There are two spots. One is under the upper deck and is a bit deeper than the other. There is authorized street parking, and the streets are narrow, so getting in and out will take some skill and patience. Longer vehicles may have trouble. There is a gentleman that lives next door that oversees the property so I'm sure any problems could be addressed quickly. My main draw to Sunset Beach, irrelevant of what property I stay in, is the amazing Sunsets, just stunning. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.

Pleasant surprises

This rental was wonderful. Miguel was excellent to work with. It was stocked with plenty of basic starter needs. Coffee, dish soap, laundry detergent, TP. The garage had a beach wagon and cooler as well as plentiful beach toys. Beach towels were also available. The beds were very comfortable and the living space was open and cozy. Easy walk to the beach and a few restaurants and bars. Beautiful sunsets.
